Too many people sit back and play the 'won't be top 10' card... Top 10 for the season doesn't mean shower. Waite could average 85 from here and end up as a top-10 forward, with Westhoff averaging 95 and not making the cut. The points that you've already missed don't count for squat when considering a player to bring in.

Hypothetically:

Waite currently: 7/115 = 805 points.
Waite possibly: 15/85 = 1275 points more.
Waite hypothetically: 22/94.5 = 2080 points.

Westhoff currently: 7/79 = 554 points
Westhoff possibly: 15/95 = 1425 points
Westhoff hypothetically: 22/89 = 1979 points.

If I was to trade one in, assuming the above would be true, Westhoff would be the superior pick, regardless of whether he finished 'top-10' or not.

Scoring potential and price-wise, hes a solid pick. 

He only has to be a top 8 fwd from here on out to be worth your while.  What he scores before he comes in is irrelevant.

Dollars vs points is a contentious issue but the fact is the best end of year teams dont win the overall.  The people who get decent teams together the quickest do better and the others generally cant chase them down in time.

At that price, he's still a worthy pickup. Not on my radar, but still worthy.
