Hey guys, not sure if anyone is watching the Coll vs WB game right now but I am starting to second guess myself on Pendles (mind you I am a Collingwood supporter and his my favourite player and I am well aware what he is capable of scoring wise). He hasn't been attending many centre bounces at all and although at first i thought they would just be rumours, it looks as though he is playing a HBF role as Collingwood need a good kick out of defence, does this make anyone else reconsider?

12 touches at 1/2 time isn't too bad

Pendles is Pendles, don't worry

Agree RD but his stats look a lot better than the way he is actually playing live, he hasn't played bad by any means but disposals were bumped up where he had 4 in one passage of play, what i am worried about is where he is playing, can he score 115-120 as predominantly a HBF and not getting centre clearances (has 0 clearances so far today and 3 rebound 50s) etc. because it seems like Sidebottom, Treloar, Adams, De Goey are getting priority at the centre bounces.

It's a fair concern you raise, and it could be the direction that they're going with having so many young guns to play through the mids, but we will just have to wait and see. Either way he is locked for me

probably looking into the nab too much.

but just did Pendles to Oliver which gave me the cash to go Collins to Seedsman (collins looking rubbish) and then Grimley to De Goey.

it means on field I have Oliver Seedsman De Goey over Pendles Menadue Hartley

I think i lose points but maybe gain cash generation. Could lose some trades though.

Don't like those trades at all, all for the reasons you said.

I had taken Crouch out to see what I could do in case he wasn't named round one, but 40 touches even in SANFL makes him pretty hard to go past...

I had Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, GAJ, Rocky and Libba, if I downgrade Pendles to Crouch I have the cash to pick Simmo over Sheridan, De Goey over Simpkin and Dahl over Tippett... I think that's definitely a win in terms of value for money...

Pendles 68 and Libba 41 today

Lol if their ownership drops now

I'm happy not having Pendles

If you had to drop one out of Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, pendles, rocky in order to improve another line...I'd probably be happiest to lose pendles out of that lot and get him in as an upgrade.

Rocky and ablett are crazy underpriced, fyfe is the highest scoring player in the league and danger looks set to match fyfe. I don't think it would be the worst move if you had to make it. A 5 super premo midfield has never really been realistic before so it's not the end of the world if you don't have all 5 (even though all of the teams on the boards make it seem like you're going to finish outside the 250,000 if you don't)

If I had to drop somebody, it'd be the 32 year old who's barely played the last two years and hasn't had a preseason since 2014

Suddenly Pendles is the odd one out.  Danger comes back in.  Far too tempting.

I still like Pendles, but you can't drop Fyfe/Danger/Gaz/Rocky/Libba.  Crouch banging down the door too.

Otherwise known as one of the best players to ever play the game?

I'm very seriously considering dropping Pendles to Crouch given what it can do for my other lines... Not because I think he's rubbish but I think he makes the most sense of the ones I have... First upgrade target for sure.

update: life doesn't feel good without dependles.  I'm fitting all 7 in.

Was at the game today, Collingwood started playing well when Pendles went into the mids in the third. He is an absolute gun and will still be their number one man this year

All good things must come to an end. I have Gaz in my team at the moment but I'll admit he's there because of who he was, not who he is. The biggest risk in my entire side at the moment
