I have Pendles, Abblett, Rocky, Parker, Gaff, Libba, rook rook!
Gaff and Dangerfield keep changing
Reckon with the cap and Gaffs tank plus Redden he is going to go big this year
Have enough to go Pendles to Fyfe but can not get both with upsetting my other lines and balance - 15 keepers I think!

Looking at the top 10 guys from last year, other then Joey Montagna they all averaged over 11 contested possessions per game. For him to reach a level where he matches what Joey does he has to average close to 30 touches per game with at least 8.5 contested possessions per game. I couldn't find Gaffs contested possession numbers last year but he isn't in the top 100 last year.

OK so that makes him AFL fantasy relevant but not SC - correct

At the moment I've got Ablett, Gray, JPK, Rocky and Libba.

It's let me have set and forget rucks, plus strong forward and back lines.

But the Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Pendles combo looks pretty sweet!

Holz

Goldy NN
Ablett rocky danger pendles fyfe libba crouch mills

Fair to say need a few points from these lines reckon ill get it though.

sammy123

now gone with

fyfe,danger,gaz,jpk,rocky

Pretty much.

supercoachhelp

fyfe pendles ablett rocky libba

GCSkiwi

If I go super light in defense (Bartel, Seedsman, Sheridan, Weits, Brown, Hartley) then I can afford a midfield of Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Rocky, Libba, Mills, Oliver... It's mighty tempting...

not the worst idea...

Gandalf123

Currently rolling with GAJ, Fyffe, Gray, rocky, Parker, Libba, mills and gresh.

Allows me to have 3 prem backline, 4 prem fwd, all these gaj fyffe danger pendles lineups are giving me an itchy trigger finger though!

If you start all 4 of those guys though you have to take the mid price risks in the other lines.

Im currently lining up with
Fyfe, GAJ, Rocky, Ward, Libba, Rookie, Rookie, Rookie

But right now its all about getting the players you are willing to start with and then moving around once you know what rookies are going to play.

Is anyone considering starting with a weaker midfield to strengthen and balance the other lines?

I've seen a lot of coaches with the combination of Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Pendles and Rockliff, but this is how I've structured mine:

Ablett, Gray, JPK, Rockliff, Liberatore, Mills, Oliver, then cheaper rookies.

This lets me have set and forget rucks, including Goldstein, then 4 premium forwards and backs.

Anyone else thinking along this line? If Ablett averages 125+, Rockliff around 115-120, Gray and JPK both 115, and Libba 105-110, the money saved allows for a more balanced side.

I dont really like the backline forward premos though thats the issue and i like the cheap options.

If we compare my starting midfield to yours its

Pendles Danger Fyfe Crouch v Gray JPK Oliver Cheapie.

117 120 125 90 v 110 112 70 65

452 v 357 = 95 point gain

I have goldy nn in the ruck so the points need to be made up in the other lines.

not sure it can be done.

That's a fair comparison Holz, I assume that means you're starting with Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Rockliff, Libba, Crouch, Mills? Which is about as strong as it can get.

I suppose it comes down to whether that 95 can be made up by going a premium in the forward line over Milera, Cockatoo, Bennedy, etc, and picking a more proven player in defence over Sheridan, Lonergan, etc
