Looking to get a 4WD in the coming months, mainly going to be used for city driving, but with the odd weekend away off-road/beach bashing.  Any advice?  Currently looking at a used vehicle around 2012, on my list are the Prado, Pajero and Challenger, anything else I should be looking at/leaning towards?  Don't want to spend more than 30K, the cheaper the better.  Have done research on dual cabs and have ruled them out of the equation.

Mate Grazz will be pissing himself because I even replied ( I'd have to be the most car dunce person that ever walked this planet )(Add Phones. computers, anything business, super, big words, ffs even hammers, you get my drift )

Paj would be my vote, simply because I have ears lol. No other reason what-so-ever

Haha, the Paj is top of my list at the moment due to the slightly cheaper price point than a Prado.

Nah seriously mate, have a mate at work, for about 40 years lol, and he would be the most or best  " handyman- mechanic- wealth of knowledge- scabbiest person I've ever known. ( no it's not Grazz ). Loves his Pajeros with a passion. Mind you, I often wonder if that's because the Prado cost more

A new smaller Jeep may be in that price range. Depends on the off road dependability you need over hwy driving  ???

Yeah they are cheaper, but after a larger sized car.
