What's everyone's thoughts on Cyril?

He's been in my team for majority of the time, but there is always that niggling feeling at the back of my mind that he is prone to doing his hammy walking to the corner shop.

If he plays 20+ games, he is almost a 110% guarantee of avging 90-100, but can he get that avg above 100 and be uninjured?

High risk/high reward is how I see it, seeing as though he is in <1% teams atm.

Big Mac

With his injury risks, you'd really want him to be capable of going 100+

I can only see him going 90-95

If I thought those " hammies "   could carry Cyril between midfield and half forward for 20 games I'd pick and keep.      ;)

I just thought to myself, I actually trust Higgins more than I trust Cyril

With the way he plays and  his lack of massive disposal numbers he would need to play at least half a season of similar games to the GF to average 100.

1) He isn't going to play like he did in the GF for half a season
2) History suggests he is very unlikely to play 20+ games.

I agree with RD. I would trust Higgins more than Cyril fitness wise.

Higgins Bandwagon here too :P

He's never needed disposals to score well though. When he averaged 100 in 2011 he only averaged like 15 possessions a game.
I just wouldn't go near him as a starter. There's a fair few ahead of him that are more likely to produce 100+ numbers every week.

Has had a better pre season this year than last year.

Will play mid then rest 1 out at the top of the goal square, dancing into a barren fwd 50 arc more often as there is no Ruffnuts for half the season.
With less bench rotations (= more time resting fwd), and Hawks ability to keep possession and sublime kicking skills, its fair to say Sizzle will not be resting much down there, they will be banging it on top of his head constantly

Plenty of tackles / game + some bags of 2 - 3 goals, if he increases possession to around 20 disposals / game then champion data will be putting lots of ticks next to his name

Hawthorns fitness dept. is A grade, really the main reason why theyre dominating - the coach is taking all the credit for the fitness gurus that have Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne and the rest of Dads army playing still arguably the best footy of their careers

Im pretty confident Andrew Russell & co. have got Cyrils hammies in check

All this said, he is not in my team, but probably will be by round 1

Lots of positives looking at his 20game season for 2015 ... but @ $500K there are better PODs to start R1 with, not to mention he would need to lift his output by 10ppg to finish safely in the top 6 forwards.
