Crows would have known full well how long he'd be out, they've got pretty good doctors down in Adelaide. Instead they decided to play the "will he, won't he" game probably to keep the opposition guessing - who knows?  I've been caught up in that game too many times over the years, so when he wasn't back after the initial 2 week forecast I was more than happy to replace him with Docherty.

Disagree, doctor cant predict the future and every patient is different. I reckon if it was finals he would have played last week.

He is important they are making sure he is 100%

Agree that Doctors can not predict as every patient/injury different.  Advice from Doctors is taken into consideration and what may appear to be a simple injury which they list as 1/2 weeks extends out.
Was not Fantasy relevant but last year Daniel Merrett was listed as calf injury for 2/3 weeks after Rd 1 eventually after a number of different diagnosis and consulting further specialists returned Rd 15. Not saying same thing will happen to Laird but just defending clubs posting the length of injury based on current medical advice. Each week club listed as 2/3 weeks.
