Is Aaron hall a good/stupid pick for FWD 4 or 5?

Well after trading Barlow for Papley, Hall is now my F1 for this week ;D

How can you not have this guy in your team though? He's a jet.

1. Played essendon who didnt show up at all and looked like a VFl team 9despite looking good this week)
2. Played freo who didnt show up at all and playing like a bad team.
3. Jack Martin has been said to be given more midfield time
4. Omeara isnt too far off and swallow wont be too long.

Im trading him in, but by no means do i have no doubt it my mind.

Concerns about his future output are why I'm not trading him in. I don't think he's a bad pick, but he's not a must-have pick either.

I'm going with another kid, slightly more expensive, but one whom I am more confident will play more consistently and score around the same each week. Much more unique too, and I might as well roll the dice seeing as I'm 500 points behind.

If come the bye rounds he definitely looks like being a top 6 forward, I'll trade him in then. It's going to be around a $100k difference between now and then, so not a huge issue.

All possibilities, but Martin kicked 4 goals so I think he stays forward, why mess a fwd line up that dominated Freo.  Even with Swallow back I don't think he pushes Hall out, it'll be Lonergan who gets pushed out.  O'meara is interesting, I'd say he would take some of Hall's time, but I think that time Hall loses will be kicking goals up forward.

It's not so much about getting pushed out as it is about getting less touches. Look at Nick Graham for example. Nailed it in the preseason when Murphy, Gibbs and Cripps were never in the team together at the same time. Come round 1 when they're all back in together, he drops a bit and carried that into round 2. Hall might only lose 5 touches to Swallow and O'Meara, but that can be anywhere between 5 and 20 ppg. He very well could lose more too.

Lonergan was playing off half back this weekend as well, so he can't really get pushed out anymore.

Not trying to turn you off, just be wary when picking players who suddenly have a good run.

If you started him then good call! Wish I had the faith! I'm not burning a trade to get him in though after 2 games. If I eventually have to pay 500+ for him as an upgrade target then I'll do that. Would like to see him do it consistently for a while first though

All fair calls.  I started with him though so happy to ride this out as long as it lasts. ;)

Yeah I was all over him this morning but after a bit of thought am thinking against it. I lose my way chest but would rather Zorko.

2 months is soon.

if he averages lets say 100-105 before round 10 then drops off to say 90 for the last 12. thats a 95ish average

Guys like Zorko could average 100-105 for the year so its just whether you want to pay up for that.

Holz

For the record I had trade Barlow to Hall but then i realised I had the cash to go to Parker.

MontyJnr

Zorko has never been consistent. Just as much a risk IMO.
