Is Aaron hall a good/stupid pick for FWD 4 or 5?

I have a bad feeling Azza Hall is going to be a bit of fools gold for 2016, even after a decent R1

Said the guys who don't have him but secretly wish they did :P

I'm not saying things like these guys .... I just wish I had him. Barlow one more week my friend to beat hall or you are toast!

We'll see how he goes this week against an angry Freo out for blood after last weeks dismal performance. Another ton and I might just start believing the hype. For now I'll back in my two premos in Dusty and Barlow to come good.

I don't have him and was never going to judge whether that was the right call or not based on his round 1 score. Everyone knew he'd tear it up against half a VFL side.

lol i dont know how you could have not started this guy. absolutely dominated in the back half of last year and his nab campaign was great. their core midfielders are still a long way off, which means he is locked for mid time - which showed in round 1. true it was only essendon but still, looked very good.

You mean exactly what Mitch Robinson also did:
Dominated back half of last year? Check. Last 5 games of the year Robbo 2ppg better than Hall (124 vs 122), post-bye Robbo 12ppg better than Hall (111 vs 99).
NAB campaign great? Check. Robbo 2 games, averaged 113.5, Hall 3 games, averaged 111.7
Midfielders a long way off? Who ever really knows?

Hall was a good pick, don't get me wrong, but saying you don't know how people didn't pick him is a bit facetious, good on those who picked the right horse, but he wasn't the only one racing ;)

fair point. i dont rate robbo though. maybe because im a blues supporter and hate him haha. I still think hall was the better pick regardless. now robbo is injured unfortunately so you either hold or grab hall if you dont have him.

Did anyone watch the Eagles vs Lions game???  Robbo was arguably the best on ground with Rich until he got injured, just bad luck, the guy will prob still pump out a 95+ average.

I think Hall and Robinson were both solid choices before the start of round 1. I picked Hall because he was cheaper and Robinson is known for finding ways to get reported. All indicators to support the case for Hall have been positive from late last year.  Yes, he only played Essendon in first round, but at least you could see that he is spending more time in the midfield.  Let's see how he goes the next few weeks, but I see no reason why Hall won't prove to be a good selection in 2016.

Go back and check your 'never again list'. Isn't Mitch on there.... a few times....?
Never had him in the race for mine. At one stage I was stupidly deciding between Hall and his team mate Miller. Glad I dumped Miller.

make that call at the end of the season.

happy with my players I started.

he barely beat Menadue Wells Kennedy Papely Kerridge by the way.

100% totally ditto.           :)

I have hall and yes I picked him because of his price, first game and nab cup scores however it is only round 1 guys. I took a punt on this guy and others wouldn't have taken punts on guys like robbo, Sheridan etc.

At the end of the day we are 1 round into a very long season! Don't forget Brodie Smith last year started with 144 and 117 in the opening two rounds and then didn't score another ton until Round 21! Lets just ride the hall train and enjoy it while it lasts!

He is looking very clean so far tonight.
Will be the number 1 traded in player this coming week I would say.
