Is Aaron hall a good/stupid pick for FWD 4 or 5?

Given that he's had a solid preseason one would expect him to keep producing excellent numbers, think he's a good pick and better than De Goey at this stage. Tempted to start him but it will require downgrading Goldy to Nic Nat and Pendles to Selwood, not sure I can justify those moves.

I've been looking at the same thing myself - starting Hall at F2, but it's going to require a sacrifice elsewhere and that's the part I am struggling with

I have him F2, and I'm very happy with how the team looks at the moment. That may change once round 1 teams come out though...

Still cannot decide on Hall vs de Goey..

The extra money saved by choosing de Goey would be used to upgrade B Smith to Laird in defense..

thought?

Hall and Smith by a nose. I think Hall is a much better pick than De Goey while Laird is a better pick than Smith but not by that much imo.

I'm on the Hall train

At 428k, the way he ended 2015 and played in NAB as well as the mids still missing at GC he is worth the shot

I feel that his price has that already factored in.

When their mids return what happens to him and his scoring?
Is 400+k too much upfront for D7?

I definately see the short term gain ... I don't see where he sits in both GCS' and my team after the bye.

i can see him being a top 10 fwd even with all the mids returning

With a suns fully fit team he is a lock in the midfield. They wouldn't have played him there more than anyone else in the NAB challenge if that was not the case. Locked at F3 in my team. Is cheap.

With Lids out I am now considering him and the extra cash where I wasn't before. There are still too many question marks but so do a couple of others who are going to cost me a fair chunk more.

With everyone jumping on now I need to find a way to trade him out. Becoming too popular and he was supposed to be a differential.

?

>Brings in player to benefit team
>Other teams follow suit
>Trade out player
>Make team worse than theirs

He is a risky pick. I was willing to take the risk and hope he fire and could be a differential. Realistically there are other options a bit more expensive that will average what I hope hall can average it is just I have to pay more in order to achieve that.
It actually does make sense ...

I don't entirely agree. Like all other positions it's about the role.   If some1 comes back then he losses that role, whomever it was that he was filling in for in the 1st place.

I don't know enough about their midfield structure to name names.

I would rather punt on Lonergan at the back who was already going to transition into Mid and has claimed Swallows role in the mean time, for ~85k less.

I just realised he is in 17% of teams so he is climbing. Buddy is in about 20% so he is still not in a huge number of sides by comparison. The extra cash lets me get a bit creative.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Gold Coast's draw to start off the season isn't too bad either (apart from Freo in round 2).

I just feel like he'll put up a good score round 1 against the Bombers at home and I want to be amongst that
