So here's my crack at a team for 2016. 138K left in the bank.

Def: McVeigh, Shaw, Bartel, Aish, Whitecross, Brown (Hibberd Hartley)  -  feel like I should move Aish
Mid: Rockliff, Ablett, Titchell, Gray, Libba, O'meara, B. Crouch, Gresham (Freeman, Keays, Menegola)
Ruc: Martin, Lobbe (West)
For: Martin, Dahlhaus, Wingard, Bird, Sumner, Petracca (Grimley, Phillips)

Haven't checked out the bye rounds yet so will adjust accordingly, going for overall, no fussed with league.

If going for overall, I'd suggest trying to get Hannebery and/or Taylor Adams in there. One of them could be the #1 player this year. Both have the potential to go massive.

But all in all it looks like a solid team.

Noted...who would you move though?

If it were my team, I'd make a couple of changes which would be:
Gray>Adams
Lobbe>Jacobs

Now that I have had a look a bit more, I'm not a huge fan of Whitecross. I can see why he has been picked but don't think the scoring would outweigh the pick. His best average is 87 but that was 2 years ago and I don't think he can get back to that level especially since in the last 2 years he has played 14 games. As for a replacement I'd suggest to maybe look at Harwood or drop him to Dea.

Lastly, keep an eye on McVeigh as he is 50/50 for round 1.

Cheers for the tips, Whitecross was more there for his price and the fact Roughead is out, but I'm sure things will change after NAB cup.  Will look into your other points, would like as many keepers as possible, but also have some solid value in there.

Lol, Guthrie last less than 12 hours, Gibbs in to replace him, 77K in the bank.

Teams getting closer to being finlaised, latest update, have a look see! 70K in the bank.

Def: Laird, Houli, Simpson, Rosa, Brown, Broad (Hartley, Adams)
Mid: Rockliff, Ablett, Titchell, Adams, Duncan, Libba, Gresham, Polkinghorne (Menadue, Mathieson, McPherson)
Ruck: Martin, Gawn (Currie)
For: Martin, Barlow, Robinson, Hall, Wells, Kerridge (Kommer, Tipungwuti)

I feel this is my strongest team across AF, DT and SC.

I'm not a fan of houli, not sure why, just have never been. But don't let me stop you from picking him.
I like the mids except for Duncan. I can see why you have picked him though.
Rucks are good, I also like Gawn (Demons supporter), but not sure if he can lift to that 100 mark to make it worthwhile. Also, not sure if he can stay injury free.
Forwards are solid. Are you picking Hall thinking he will get lots of midfield time? Rocket has said that Lonergan will be getting that spot on the field left by Swallow/JOM.

Basing my Houli pick on consistency and the fact that a large number of Tigers players had decent averages last year.
Duncan I may upgrade to a premo.
Has Gawn got a terrible history of injury?  I always thought he was a fringe player...
Hall is there for now, but yeah will see what his role is with hopefully a full side team in NAB 3.

If there are enough mid-rookies Round 1 to run with this structure then it looks good and can't really fault any picks.

The picks of Rosa, Duncan & Hall would make or break your season I reckon, either get you off to a flyer or putting a serious dent in your team. Can't really fault any of them as picks though.

Yeah thanks for the advice, I'm unsure on the 3 as well, I think I'd prob move at least 1-2 for a more proven player when it gets closer to lockout.

Final team prior to rd 1 anouncements.

Def: Houli, Simpson, Lonergan, Dea, Hartley, Adams (Broad, Ruggles)
Mid: Titchell, Rockliff, Ablett, S. Mitchell, Adams, Liberatore, B. Crouch, Mills (Menadue, Gresham, Davis)
Ruck: Martin Jacobs (Currie)
For: Martin, Barlow, Robinson, Hall, Wells, Kerridge (Brown, M-Tip)

Thoughts?

Really like it mate. Mids, Rucks and fwds look solid with no cheap rookies required on the field.

Defense is a bit of crap-shoot for everyone ;)
