If he string's together a few good games & is around the < $450K range or thereabouts i would consider him, however any closer to that $500K range then it's worth grabbing someone less injury prone that produces the same, if not better output.
If he strings together a few good games, then of course he is going to get to around 500k haha, so I don't really get what you're trying to say? If he plays poorly, then he'll go under 450k and not be worth grabbing. And also, players who can match Rocky at his best are: Gaz, maybe Danger and Pendles. Maybe Hanners. Fyfe obviously injured. 3 of those 4 are over 600k, and Gaz you should have anyway unless you just traded him. If he goes well this week, he's in my team. In fact, I might even get him this week if Murphy is out for a few.

Hasn't he got a real high BE & due to plummet a large amount of cash? Then he string's a few games to gather & slowly rises. Rocky was (only) at his best for one year in 2014 - That can be the only year he can be compared with Abs, Fyfe, Pendles etc. His come nowhere near this since that year.

Agree 100% with the above statement. Rockliff had one spike season amongst many decent/average years. He seems more like a 110 player when uninjured; those who are expecting another 130-odd year are delusional in my opinion.

In saying all that, at 450-500k you'd take 110s every day of the week, as many will be doing with Gray this week and did with Priddis last week.

After coming back from his broken ribs last year, he averaged 120+ for the rest of the season

First half of last year he was plagued with injuries. Wasn't he playing professional AFL with broken ribs? Then punctured his lung? As Big Mac mentioned he finished on fire. Even the back half of 2013 (when he started playing purely in the midfield) was insane. This year should be the same.... if healthy
I feel like it's only been injuries that have held him back from playing at that level consistently.

Don't get me wrong his a very good player with lot's of potential (If he can stay fit on the field) however the one year he can be even compared with the likes of Abs, Fyfe, Danger, Pendles etc is 2014. Yes his showed glimpses of backing that performance up in other years, but has broken down along the way.

Has a BE of 120 so could easily hit that this week

For some reason i thought it was much higher then that.

He still has that 41 in his next 2 price changes. Even if he scores a couple of tons his price will hardly rise.

This. Exactly.

If he goes 120, 120 his price won't change until the 40 gets out of his rolling average.
Then he's only got Rd 13, 14 before his bye.. So worst case is he averages 120 over that point in time and you can snap him up after his bye for $500-520k
I think he'll go 90, 100, 100, 120 which will mean he'll be well below 500k..... And then Rd 16 everyone eill trade him in and he'll ping his hammy again..

BoredSaint

no. never again.

HappyDEZ

I have kept him on the bench (except in AF of course) so I hope he comes back & plays well & avoids injury. If I didn't have him I would not trade him in. He seems to have taken 1 extra week to come back this time but probs should take one more. In the recent past he always seems to come back underdone. Ribs, concussion, calf, no pre-season. Always puts his hand up. He may well feel the need being captain in a struggling side but he is not much help in the rehab group.

+1 won't touch with a 130 foot poll!

PICCOLLO

We get a chance to see him in action without much of a price rise. Ill be looking on with interest.

A cheeky Libba > Rocky trade could be on the cards for me after he plays again next week.

I want to see at least 2 games from him first before I entertain the idea of trading him back in.

Unfortunately (to some ;)) he busted out a 204 and now the 40 in his rolling average is irrelevant. BE of 54 this week and playing Freo at the Gabba. Who is taking the chance and jumping on?
