He was grabbing a lot of uncontested marks in the back line, and pointless kicks sideways/back.

He did come off during the game and looked like he twinged his hammy again, but came back on.

I'm not sold on his body and don't think I'll grab him

When did that happen? Didn't see that..

Anyway, I'll most likely be grabbing him, he's very unique (5% ownership) for a guy that is $500k and can easily go from here to home with a 110 average which is all I'd hope for.
I was hoping to grab Jelwood this week but his 150 means I fall $1k short, so he's next week.

Yeah i agree, i like his lack of ownership at 5%, could be a great POD in the run home (scoring potential of 100+ easy) his body is the real worry!

The other way I look at it is I didn't pick up Priddis because I wanted to grab Rocky who, while he is a riskier pick, has a lot higher ceiling. I think those who have picked up a Priddis or Gray (which is a lot) in the past couple of weeks won't be picking Rocky which makes him pretty unique.

To answer the question as to when came off about 3 mins before 3/4 time and had extensive physio on his hammies but played the game out.

As I have Round 15 bye worries will not be getting him.  Could do a swap with Robbo though and like most will want to see how Rocky backs up last week.

injury is the only thing making me hesitate on taking the plunge. Compare him to whoever you like but he is a scoring beast when he gets a roll on. Last two years he gets injured, gets injured again then comes home with a head of steam and puts up huge numbers.

He's been injured twice now...

He had little preason which pretty much makes his first few game scores irrelevant. No preseason would indicate why hes getting injured too. It also goes to why, if fit, his numbers will be on the improve.

The risk is known. If he stays on the park, he'll average 110 from here on in at worst. At best? 130+

My only thought is that if he gets injured again, a 48 disposal return is quite promising in regards to his fitness, I will just go straight to a Neale/Hanners.

I just think the risk vs return is too hard to ignore, 120k extra cash (over picking say a Neale type) over the bye period could help you reach full premo sooner (saving you the trade you might eventually have to use to upgrade an injured rocky in a worst case scenario). Best case, he goes huge and you finish your lines sooner.

Thats true. If he gets injured in a few weeks but scores well, its cost you a trade but he'll be priced for a straight swap to someone like hanners/pendles/danger

Yer exactly. I think if your not ranked top 1000, which unfortunately im not, you need to take some risks to climb the rankings, and rocky potentially going 120+ is a perfect opportunity.

Honestly don't think 120+ is out of reach either, as long as he's at full fitness. He's in a similar scenario as Neale, top mid in a struggling team, so should get a lot of the ball and plenty of opportunity to use it, just as we saw on the weekend.

Ablett vs Rocky + 60k

That's the decision I have this week

Which one?

Note that this would complete my mids and I would only look at getting the other one later in the year if I can afford to luxury trade Libba to them

Well that could mean that now is the perfect time to Grablett as doc says and 'wait, watch and see' on Rocky.

I'm in the same boat RD. I'm grabbing Gray and if Rocky goes mental, then I'll just have to find a way to swap Libba for him and damn the extra luxury trade. We will need him if he starts pumping out consistent 130s, but I'm willing to wait.

I'd be more p!ssed off if I grabbed him and he got injured and I had to unload him AGAIN!

GoLions

If you don't get him this week, then I don't see why you'd bother getting him at all. Everyone knows he can score. If you think he'll get injured, then every week that you take to "have another look at him" (i.e. waiting for him to get injured, shun the non-believers), is a week closer to him getting injured (according to the non-believers, shunnnn).

Tbh, don't even grab him this week. Last week was your chance. Leave Rocky alone. He's mine.
