Champions League 2016?

Are we gonna do this again? Should we use the top 8 from last season in each comp?

BXV I noticed changed their scoring again so we can't start straight away until data is collected from there and a suitable multiplier is worked out for them.

We have every players' avg from last year with our current scoring system, so we could potentially get everyone to give their Best XV and we could work it out straight away if necessary :)

Although I don't reckon I'd have the time to try and run it, I'm always willing to help out 8)

Just throwing ideas out there;

So we have the top 8 of each comp.

Round 1 (AFL Round 10)

All 1sts play all 8ths (so each team plays 4 matches simultaneously)

All 2nds play all 7ths

All 3rds play all 6ths

All 4ths play all 5ths

Round 2 (AFL Round 11)

1sts play 7ths

2nds play 5ths

3rds play 8ths

4ths play 6ths

Round 3 (AFL Round 12)

1sts play 6ths

2nds play 7ths

3rds play 5ths

4ths play 8ths

Round 4 (AFL Round 16 - skipping 3 bye rounds)

etc

etc

until

Round 7 (AFL Round 19)

1sts play 1sts

2nds play 2nds

etc

Finals Weeks 1 (AFL Round 20)

1st play 4th

2nd play 3rd

5th play 8th

6th play 7th

... follow traditional AFL finals format

^^ would indeed take a crap load of work. Before finals, each teams play 28 matches... ugh. Maybe not. But I like thinking about stuff like this :P

There is also the possibility of co-adminning this...

Like, share a document via Google Drive or something, so a representative from each XV comp can access it at any time and put in their data?

EDIT: wait, my above idea doesn't quite work in the last round, but you get the idea

Wouldn't it be 27 matches as in that final round a team wouldn't play against themselves ;)

Yes yes... my proposal had flaws, but you get the idea :P

Reckon this sort of extravaganza would be pretty awesome for the Champions League 8)
