Group number up to 68 and still growing.
Great to have so many on board. I'll update the list of coaches in the second post of this thread as needed and endeavour to post weekly results, knockout draw, top 16 group standings etc on a regular/ weekly basis throughout the season.

73 coaches joined... 1 I don't know...1lousypoint- Anyone know the coach?/[color]

With Round 1 near complete we have 72 confirmed elxam starters + 1lousy point who needs to announce themselves...might be jfitty or Noz who have been pmed as they expressed interest way back and are the only known coaches not to join as yet.
Come tomorrow or Wednesday I'll organise the Knock Out Competition and draw... following the same format as Ossie did last year.
Most coaches will get the first week off as a bye. The lowest ranked coaches based on R1 rankings will have a knock out match against another lowly ranked opponent so that 64 coaches are left for the following week.
The overall Knock Out winner will be the first coach to secure a place in the 2017 Elxam Champions League.

Elxam Top 10 - Round 1

Congrats to Samm79 on being the only Elxam coach to better 2300 and top the table in Round 1 :)
Also noteworthy to see ando_10, 2014's KO winner, in 4th place early to give him a strong seeding for this year's KO comp.... And last year's winner Money Shot has left himself with some work to do by putting himself in the position of having a KO game next week when the vast majority enjoy a BYE.

KO Cup Seeds

The Knockout Cup starts next week! And continue until we have 2 teams left in Round 8 where the winner will gain bragging rights and a place in next year's Elxam Champions league.
As we have 72 coaches this year (73 including 1lousypoint whoever that is?) we will have many coaches having a BYE in the first week (Round 2) so we can have an even 64 coaches the following week.

Coaches ranked 1-55 will have the BYE next week and proceed to the round of 64.
Ringo as 56th will get the BYE too if 1lousypoint remains anonymous by the end of tomorrow (Wednesday) and coaches ranked 64th-73rd will move up one place in the draw as 1lousypoint gets chopped from the group.

EDIT:Have taken 1lousypoint out of the group as after a number of posts in different threads I am none the wiser as to their identity... the draw for KO above has been updated with their omission. Ringo is now the 56th coach safe with the bye, leaving 8 matches this week with the losers eliminated which will leave a tidy 64 to fight it out the following week.
