These top 10 position threads are less than useless, when you pick a back/mid/rck/fwd in team selection click overall points instead of average and most of the top 10 change.

McVeigh is averaging 84, how is he so high?

I think it's just what he expects to happen from here

Will he keep it up though with JJ about to return and maybe a change of role.

Interesting call. I certainly have him in front of McVeigh and a couple of others.
I don't see JJ impacting his scoring as Beverage loves the ball in Sucklings hands and they are different players.
Defiantly see JJs imminent return hurting Boyd's scoring power more, hence why I have been reluctant to picking him up.

Our defense is built on a zone system which I won't go into too much depth about, however it allows for 2 rebounding players. At the moment Boyd and Suckling are those 2 players with Hunter the link man between defense and midfield. When JJ returns I expect us to drop Fletcher Roberts, play Adams, Wood and Morris as the key defenders, Boyd as the lockdown small defender with JJ and Suckling the sweepers. Obviously the 'sweepers' will be the more lucrative SC players to have in the team! Especially considering our ability to junk up big time in the back half

I have two def spots to fill, one of which will go to Simpson who I am late on and now think is necessary. My final spot is going to either Laird or Rance and I can barely split them. I am inclined to go with Laird because of his generally SC friendly role and the fact that he is playing in a pretty good team that have a decent run home - but Rance is a jet and could pip him for points between here and the end of the season.

Thoughts?

also to add to King robbo's point

for me it is took him 2 games to settle then started scoring well

JJ played the first 4 games suckers for the first 2 went 77, 68
then once settled in the side for the next 2 before JJ got injured (well injured in the 4th game)
suckling went 92, 122
then done his injury
without the injury game he averages 94.5
i started the year with him and said he'd average 90+
unfortunately couldn't hold when injured but can telly uo now i have traded him back in this week

and i really don't see it as a waste of trades as when he got injured first time i went suckling to shaw and now Lonergan to suckling

King_Robbo

Yep good trades. I'm not getting in Suckling this week because I am falling for the Rocky trap, but but he is all but locked the week following. This week he'll be at his cheapest but I'm prepared to pick him up anywhere under $480k as I rate his scoring ability that high.

Very keen on Suckling to finish the Def... Was looking to wait for Boyd, but can get Suckers now

Big question is whether I'd lose too many points between the two. If Suckers can get his average within 5-ish of Boyd I reckon it's a good deal and can make up the difference elsewhere, if not it's a wasted trade for me...

Decisions! :-\

Really it will probably end up being Suckers and Neale vs Boyd and Selwood in the final team

RaisyDaisy

Don't understand the interest in Suckling

Has a history of being able to string together a handful of decent scores but ultimately always ends up averaging in the 80's over a season
