So where is Boak?

Defence gets a no from me... Houli isn't a year in year out 90s averager so he's 50/50 on being top 10 defender. Smith I believe will cop the tag straight up now. Rosa isn't SuperCoach friendly... If you're going to pick him afl fantasy is where you would because that's just simple stats for points.

Ripper midfield, not a fan of Hannebery though...ill trade him in mid year probably because he will have a form slump at stages during the year because and will get below 550k because he needs 25+ touches to score 100s unlike the real elite SuperCoach players who can get 120+ from 20-25 touches.

Need to get a decent ruckman... Atleast 1! You'll use so many trades trying to get the top guys in!

I think you need a deeper forward line also... Try get bird to a premium or downgrade to Anderson or Duggan

So:
Upgrade Rosa, leuy
Downgrade Smith, Bird
Sideways Downgrade (cheaper promo) Hannebery, Houli

Would go dusty over lids as well.

That's just me but it's a good team with potential just as much risk as any other going around!

Suspect you may have a reasonable amount of cash with that team.

The real weak link in this team is the rucks.  Would try and get one of the premos in for one if possible.  Apart from 2011 Berger has not averaged more than 70 and Lobbe has only exceeded 85 once in 2014,  Both will be number one rucks but my concern is a double risk with both lifting.  Compare with the top rucks who will average 105+ you may be behind from the start.

Defence is also a little shaky but defence has always been the question mark for the last couple of years in trying to identify top defenders.

Structure is sound if you were to get that premo ruck. Couple of players I would not pick but that is just personal not based on stats.  we can not all have the same team  ;)

Slight tweak only at this stage

Def: houli, yeo, KK, smith, aish, byrne ( brown, hibberd)
Mids: pendles, ablett, rocky, gibbs, wines, libba, b crouch, parish (trengove, kerridge, petracca)
Ruck: lobbe, luey (currie)
Fwd: lids, wingard, Robinson, wells, simpkin, cockatoo (kennedy, kommer)
cash $2,800

At this stage I'm accepting the risk with the Lobbe/luey combo. Lobbe had a sticker last year and had thigh issues hampering his preseason and early season. He's still young for a ruck and hope he can produce what he did in 2014. Luey is an on field cash cow only and am acutely aware that the term "cash cow" for luey is very debatable. I understand the risk.

The pay off is really strong midfield which could produce 7 keepers.

Forwards make me nervous, not only with the strength but lids and wingard lost their DPP.

the things is you only have 1 rookie in the midfield so unless you get rid of crouch libba early you will miss out on beams, danger, fyfe etc.. if they get cheap and will struggle to finish with the best of the best. Gibbs at best goes 105 so not really a mid premo.

Rather then have 100ish gibbs + 80ish burger for the same price you could go Nic nat 110 + Mills 75. which will average more, make more cash and use less trades and less likely to get donuts.

PureSwag

U need more rookies in the mid as that were the most deadly mids are.

U NEED TO GET A TOP 5 RUCK.

Other then that I love your team

Rate: 8/10

I'll promise myself this is my last edit before NAB but that would be lying

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Duryea, Seedsman, Aish, Byrne (Brown, Hibberd)
MID: Pendles, Ablett, Rocky, Wines, Libba, Mills, Trengove, Parish (Gresham, Petracca, Dunkley)

FWD: Lids, Wingard, Robinson, Buddy, Wells, Cocktoo (Kerridge, Kommer)
Cash: $52,600

Time to wait until the rookies emerge

Bully

If in the market for a 102k R3 you should go Wyatt, Loersch is a nightmare if you want to loophole Gaz.

Thanks, i just picked a random one, i fix that up

Ringo

If wanting the loophole Wyatt is also a nightmare given the number of early games Pies play -  I would look at Goetz from Bulldogs as they have a number of Sunday and Late Saturday games. They do have 3 friday night games but 2 are late in the season.

Magpies play one Friday game leading up to the byes, they also allow Gaz to be loopholed in half those games due to playing in prime time. After the byes there will be loads of injuries, I honestly can't recall having a full squad at that point in time in the whole time I've played this game.

Thanks Bully and you are correct with the analysis. By way of explanation I was only looking at Sunday games and who had the most as that allowed loophole to be worked. Worked a treat last year with the non playing ruck on the field all the time with the e on R2 (who was actually R3) and allowed me to put C on when required.
