Thoughts on picking him this year? only reason im hesitating picking him is the fact that im unsure wheather he will play midfield or will be stuck up forwars...

fanTCfool

Had him for the first half last year and he let me down so I traded him, then he came good of course.
Currently have him this year, but not sure positionally where he will play, hopefully in a similar role to the back end of last year where he put up some really good scores.

To put it into perspective Beams. Rocky, Hanley Rich and Zorko only played in the same team 3 times last season.

With the cap in interchange I expect there to be a fair rotation through the mids.  Only concern to me with Zorko is his tank is not as big as some so this may be tested with interchange cap.

Interesting to know what their scores were in those games!

I've had Zorko a couple of times in the last few seasons. The question always seems to be how much midfield time he's going to get, yet he manages to average around that 100 mark. He always throws in a few 140+ scores, but counteracts that with some shockers.

Robinson seems to play a similar role too between the forward line and midfield, so could compliment each other a bit?

I won't be starting with him, but definitely look at him as an upgrade target.

I tend to agree, there is too much feast or famine with Zorks...a champion one week and a mug the next.  I'll be keeping a close eye on him and if it looks like the leopard has changed its spots and added consistency to its game he could replace a faltering forward or mid.

Interesting stuff, although probably not a big enough sample size. He can clearly score even with those guys in the side though

The 61 shows the ups and downs you get with Zorko. Wide deviation but worth it if you persevere.

An interesting article as well with this extract:

"Such has been his dramatic individual rise over the past two years that the 26-year-old is rated an “elite” forward-midfielder according to Champion Data. Officially, he’s the third-best player of that category in the competition, ahead of the likes of Luke Dahlhaus and Steve Motlop.

When it came to specific rankings for forward-midfielders in 2015, Zorko was rated “elite” for SuperCoach points (101), disposals (23), contested possessions (9.4), metres gained (363) and pressure points (48.5). He was also “above average” for uncontested possessions (1.8) and clearances (3.2). "

I'm tossing up between Zorks or Gunston as a pod forward.

Most forwards have ups and downs but he does have a massive ceiling and you can lock in 95-100 avg, but I reckon there's potential to get over 100 and be top 6

Solid pod, and durable

How do you feel about Gunston now with no roughie

Not sure yet. Rough missed two games last year vs Freo and Collingwood, and Gunston scored 61 and 86 in those games

Small sample, but rough out does impact him a bit

Definitely giving me the shudders .. Think I'll offload him

A decent option, but mainly scored well when 1 of Rocky and Beams were injured last season.

For me, Dusty, Barlow, Wingard, Lids and Dahlhaus are more likely to score 100+.

Wingard???? Pretty sure he scored like a 17 last year with 95% TOG

There's a yo-yo player if ever i've seen one...

Had a low score of 60 last season

Did score a 10 from 59% TOG in 2014 though
