anybody considering Will Hoskin-Elliott, kid can seriously play if he gets a good run at it

Yeah I asked about him earlier this week but doesnt seem to be much love. JS is questionable and probably wouldn't average more than 70, so there are better options

fair enough, if he could secure the opposite wing to Whitfield i reckon he could push 85 over a year

Time to bump this

So what are people doing with their forward line structure wise? Seems like there are plenty of rookie options

Currently going with Dusty, Barlow, Wells, Bennedy, Menadue, Kerridge (Howard, Grimley)

Other's on my radar are Papley, Tippa, Adams (DEF), Petracca (MID) McCarthy, Cockatoo, Milera, WhiteX (DEF)

I think that pretty much covers the rookies that are chances to line up and be decent picks. Anyone else? How many rookies are you going with?

I'm still not 100% convinced on Bennedy and Menadue yet - need to see more NAB from them to ensure they can score and have solid JS
Yeah same structure as you RD, but with Simpkin over Bennedy. I guess after two rounds I can downgrade Simpkin to the best performer of those cheaper guys if he doesn't start well.

It does feel odd only having 2 prem forwards - never done this before

Just need to make sure we have solid F7/8 options because having 4 cheapo's on field each week requires solid depth

I'm looking at running with 4 premiums/ keepers... Zerrett at F4 & 4 rookies. Taking a balanced approach.

I am running with the obvious 2 prems in Dusty and Barlow with DeGoey ar 3 Wells at 4 then rookies.

Oops... I got Wells at F5... Better make that 3 rookies.

Nick Kommer's looking pretty good for the Bombers, can't imaging him having too many big games but should make some cash playing on the wing

who do Essendon have missing today? Can't imagine Kommer playing on the wing too often. Every interview he's been mentioned in has spoken about his forward pressure and tackling.

A bunch of top ups in Kelly, Stokes, Crowley, Polka plus guys Zaharakis and Goddard by the looks of it (not watching, going off names on the stat sheet). They're all part of the midfield to some extent.

I'd still pick Kommer regardless. I imagine he'll still be handy enough to generate cash in his fwd role and might get rotated through the middle every now and then anyway.

RaisyDaisy

Kommer not in my team and can't see myself picking him. His game is not suited to SC, would be a really slow burn and cover you wouldn't want to field

He played a similar role in 2013. He would push up the ground and get small stints in the midfield. With less rotations and players needing to be more versatile he will get small stints through there. He is all about constant pressure and was involved in a lot of scoring chains which sees him get a points boost.

Yeh he'll be fine at F8, especially at that price

Southstorm

Even with a 2-1-3 on field set up, surely there's more ahead of Kommer for F7/F8?

What I am finding tough to decide is if it is worth having Grimley and Kommer both in the forward line. 60 is about the best I can expect from both but it is more likely to be 55, with Currie also a chance for R3 if I am to start both then it would have to be in the forward line. I am thinking of dumping Simpkin which means I will have Wells at F4, ??, ??, Kommer, Grimley.

So basically the options we have are

Kerridge (also mid DPP)
Petracca (injured)
Menadue
Lamb
McKenna
Langford
Kennedy
Wright
Milera
Cockatoo
Will Hams
James Rose (probably not in the 22)
McCarthy
Keough (probably not in the 22)
Dougal Howard (probably not in the 22)
Jayden Hunt (probably not in the 22)
Tim O'Brien (probably not in the 22)
Sam Reid (probably not in the 22)
Marcus Adams (can pick him in defense and probably not in the 22)
Mitch Brown (defense pick)
Tom Phillips (probably not in the 22)
Andrew Gallucci (probably not in the 22)
Tippa

So they are either more expensive, have questions about even being in the 22 and haven't exactly been notable scorers regardless. The only rookie that is basically a lock is Kerridge. It will depend who is named round 1, but looking at player to player comparisons there aren't a hell of a lot of guys that look like they will be scoring more then 60 week to week.

Gault continues to look alright, pretty much rookie priced
