Backs look pretty weak to me.  Which Shiel?  Hawks Shiel is out for 6 weeks.  Blicavs is a waste of a midfield spot because he won't be a top premo mid.  Leuey is apparently looking pretty good at 2's level this past week, could be a steal, but also high risk.  Some out there picks but could work for you.

You're missing a F6 ;)

Collins and Parish are a bit dicey imo and I think you've overloaded the engine room with 6 premos and a mid pricer in De Goey. Like sure you'll get points there, but Blitz and Shiel aren't dead set top 20 mids, and DeGoey has looked good but who knows? And also you've lost spots where you could make cash, which mid rookies tend to do best... Where is the money to upgrade players going to come from?

My F6 is Chol or Grimley.

I might downgrade Parish get another rookie MID (everyones team structure will as always be influenced by where the must have rookies are)
and play Kerridge/Menadue FWD.

Then strengthen Backs or Rucks?

I love and rate Blicavs and Geelongs top 4 chances with Danger and two Selwoods. It doesn't bother me to start him in mids or rucks as I can always move him and cover injury prone Leuy and Wells.

Highly doubt Hibberd will get a game, barely sighted in NAB and North don't have a good history of playing their kids.  I like Houli, think he will be very solid this year.

Well, with respect, in most cases no :P

Do you plan to trade out Leuey, Reid and DeGoey? They will have to make keeper numbers to make any worthwhile amount of money, so you can't count on them as momney makers, they're prospective keepers if you're taking the punt. If they don't perform, they're the ones who will need some investment to bring them up to keepers. Again Wells is a stepping stone player, you use him to go up some money and then inject some cash from a rookie downgrade to make him a real premo - but he may last the year for us.
Collins, Hunt, Close and Parish all have pretty shaky/non-existent job security. Close and Parish didn't play at all in NAB, Hunt didn't set the world on fire and neither did Collins. IF they play, I wouldn't expect them to make much money.
EMac and Brown I think you pick for job security more than scoring ability.


Basically what I'm looking at is this. On your starting team, How many players do you have that might need upgrading, and how much cash is that gonna take? then where is that money going to come from? You can't count on any money that those starters make, it has to be from bench players... ie You can't say you're upgrading Collins with the money EMac makes, because that puts a rookie on field in EMac's place, see what I mean?

Not a bad team of prems, and some nice PODs, but still I think you're going to get stung by Collins, Parish, Sumner, Hewett, Hunt, Chol and possibly Gresham though for now he's a decent pick.

People harp on about guns and rooks but you need guys who will play, this team is great if all your rooks play the opening rounds, I just don't think that is very likely. IMO much better to pay up for the expensive guys who are doing well, like Mills + Oliver, because they'll be playing... I'd rather pay 220k for a rookie who plays rounds 1-8 than 123k for a rook who doesn't ;)
