Rocky is 4th or 5th in line for the tag

Rich, then Hanley, then Beams, then one of Rocky/Zorko

Structure is fine
Thanks the the reply GL.

So the opposition rate him over Beams and Hanley??? I know he's good but... maybe I should just start Beams and/or maybe even Hanley on that logic?

I don't know. I just thought he'd be in more teams for that price as a defender... Who else? I like Hurn but he can't handle a tag well enough either - great disposal but when tagged doesn't get enough of it.

Bartel won't play more than 17 games IMO at most. He is too inconsistent due to his Mr.Fix it role.

Who will outscore Rich at that price? Yeo? Smith? Burgoyne? Birchall? can't see these doing that much better?

As a Lions supporter, I don't think the tag will effect Beams or Rocky. Hanley could get it before Rich, but I think Rich is slightly more damaging with that left boot of his.

I don't mind Hurn, but maybe a tad too risky. Should improve with Emac back though, as he'll be freed up a bit more rather than playing a lockdown role.

Really think Birchall is in for a big year. Thought he was pretty bad last year and still went at an avg of 86. Reckon he'll go 90-95 this year, and think Rich will struggle to get over 85.

Definitely a chance Rich averages 90, but if he does get the #1 tag like I expect him to, can't see it happening.

I agree with GL Ubeaut Rich is too dangerous by foot from the midfield to leave untagged.  Hanley may get it before Rich in some games but I expect Rich to get it most tomes.  Beams and Rocky are untaggable and will attract run with roles.

Rich has played 120 games but only exceeded 90 on 51 occasions.  Check his stats for 2012 when he averaged 90 but see the effect of tags on him.

Fo the clubs sake hope to be proven wrong but stats are not encouraging

I see Rich as a risky pick too. With a tag I can't see him scoring well either.
Birchall seems to a really popular pick. It surprises me to see him in so many teams. I agree with your comment about him appearing bad last year...yet everyone is jumping aboard. Not me.

ubeaut  sorry to say mate I reckon   Yeo Smith and Birchall will outscore Rich.    Unless he can step up a gear this year likely to be a low to mid 80 scorer.   For his money I would be looking to get a potential keeper.

Gone cold on Leuy as well,   Rucks can kill you and for me set and forget (pray) is better option.   You have both Grmiley and Tippet for cover.  So I can see you sideways trading Leuy for a 350K mid at some stage.    Luckly you have Bird, Wells, Daisy as options when you need to do this.

Better option put in Martin.NN and adjust other lines.

ubeaut

Thanks heaps guys. Makes more sense now. I still may risk him. Otherwise Hurn or Smith can't trust Birchall and he rarely goes above 90 anyway so no great loss.

I might go Tippett and Martin/NicNat.

Considering Walters as a breakout contender if he plays more mid when Fyfe goes fwd for eg. Would love Boyd to start with as he will kill it. Same with Heater but he should drop. McVeigh will be in if fit.

ubeaut

ALRIGHT -

BOYD,SMITH,Walker,EMac,Brown,Broad  (Hartley,Brown)

ABLETT,FYFE,PENDLES,ROCKY,SHEIL,Libba,Crouch,Kerridge  (Hibberd,MacPherson,Sumner)

S.MARTIN,BLICAVS  (Grimley)

BARLOW,D.MARTIN,BUDDY,Leuy,Wells,Kommer  (McDonTipu,Close)

THis is more balanced IMO. Set and forget rucks. Blicavs is a machine who will be everywhere. Less ruck time shouldn't hurt too much. Cats will be top 6 again.

Boyd gets the nod over Heater for D1. Smith may still be D.Rich.

GAJ,PENDLES,FYFE the best there is. Rocky,Sheil and Buddy offer value. Libba and Crouch are must have midpicers IMO.

If Leuy plays then I'll use him fwd. If not then Wells becomes rookie and Leuy becomes Cyril/Walters/Tippett.

PLEASE RATE AND COMMENT -  PLEASE! :P

BOYD,RICH,Walker,EMac,Brown,Collins  (Hartley,Broad)

ABLETT,PENDLES,ROCKY,FYFE,SHEIL,Libba,Crouch,Kerridge  (Hibberd,Freeman,MacPherson)

BARLOW,D.MARTIN,BUDDY,Leuy,Menzel,Hunt  (King,McDon.Tipu)

Do you plan on using a luxury trade to get Goldy in, or are you willing to risk not having him all year?

Nah not sure... Hoping he gets injured on 5 points first few rounds LOL nah jokes. Not paying top dollar for him or any ruck when Blicavs and Martin are so durable IMO. Many a season people pay top dollar for rucks and 2 or 3 other rucks 50 - 100 K cheaper score nearly as well if not better. I know Goldy can and will back it up bar injury/suspension unlike say Kreuzer or Minson or Mummy. I'm happy with Martin he's a GUN and doesn't rely on ruck points alone. Same with Blicavs who is only going to get better.

Firstly my priority is team balance and strong Mids. already paying top dollar for Boyd,Fyfe,Pendles even GAJ,Martin... Heater,Goldy and Lids are too pricey to fit more than one in. and I've gone Boyd over Heater.

Heater is my number1 -2 upgrade target. Lids along with Bennell will be my first Forward targets.

ubeaut

Also - the beauty of having Leuy and Blicavs DPP options when trading - I'll be able to say put Blicavs in the Mids for the byes for eg, and upgrade Leuy to Goldy. Just one of many options that may happen.

Alright please rate and comment constructively!

HOULI,RICH,Reid,MacKenzie,Brown,Collins  (Hartley,Broad)

ABLETT,DANGER,FYFE,BLICAVS,Libba,Crouch,Polec,Parish  (Menadue,Kerridge,Gresham)

SANDILANDS,S.MARTIN  (Grimley)

BARLOW.D.MARTIN,RIOLI,DeGoey,Leuy,Hunt  (Close,Kommer)

12 keepers if u include Libba. DeGoey,Polec,Crouch,Reid,Leuy all underpriced and will hopefully make lots of $$$. Sandilands POD as he misses round 1. I'll just play another rookie.

Now that's a lot of PODs haha, don't think I've seen a single team with Cyril or Sandi, or Blicavs in the midfield. Quite a few mid pricers as well. My concern would be if only half of these unique guys go well, that's gonna cost you quite a number of trades. Would probably prefer Kerridge and Menadue on the field, get at least 1 in the fwd line as Close and Hunt aren't going to be good scorers, and that's assuming they both get named round 1. Might need someone else to strengthen def slightly,  such as Harwood. Also, no Rocky?

I quite like some of these picks though, particularly Sandi and De Goey. Might be one or two too many though haha

ubeaut

Thanks mate.

12 KEEPERS including 6 PREMO MIDS! Blicavs/Leuy/Grimley DPP handy if Leuy goes down (or WELLS etc.)

Not sure on Collins or Close lining up Rd 1.  Close only had his first game in the NEAFL last weekend and is still a little way off.  Freeman and schache both ahead of him at this stage. If wanting one would go Freeman as he will be pinch hitting in the ruck to rest Stef.

Some nice Pods and brave selections eg Roili with elastic hammies but may work for you. Like the Reid pick keeping an eye on him myself.

Just wait and see which rookies named Rd 1 as I think Broad is also falling down the order,
