What's your plan if Goldy averages 120+ again but Nic Nat and S Martin both average 105-110?

AaronKirk

I have the same query as Ben above. If Goldy tears it to shreds will you have a plan to bring him in?

From what I hear from Melbourne supporters Trengove unlikely to play early in the season so you may have to find another cheapie to replace him.

Also what are you thoughts on the Birchall and Zerrett picks? Birchall is a safe pick and in a small sample with no Lake at Hawthorn averaged very well but can he get toward that 95-100 average over a full season?

Zerrett without the support around him could cop a bit more attention? How do you think that will affect him? Personally I think he a an absolute gun but will have a tough season and I cannot see him being in the top 6 forwards come the end of the season.

None the less a very good side.

DEF: Shaw is a must. Taking a risk on my D2-D4, i think that those guys can realistically go 80-85, better to have Weit and downgrade if he doesnt play Rnd 1 then try and scrounge up money and bring him in.

MID: M1-M4 should go 115+, I'd be happy with 90-100 from Crouch, and 95-105 from Libba

RUC: better to start with Goldy (especially if he goes 125+ early), I reckon Gawn can improve.

FWD: Dusty & barlow pick themselves, Robbo avg 110.9 after Rnd 13 last year, I'd be happy with 100+. Taking a risk on Menzell/Wells, i'd be happy with 75-85

Note: Harwood could change to McDonald (NM) depending on NAB. Rookies are all subject to change.

any advice welcome guys.

First thing that jumps out to me is the team structure. It's a bit different but a good different imo. I think you've mostly picked the right players to make it work.

You've more or less nailed some of better defensive picks in their price ranges. You're already tracking Harwood which is important. Sheridan's another bold pick, but could really pay off.

Some classic mid picks with which you can't go wrong. Interesting that you've got some of the slightly more expensive rookies, but you're paying for value here. Menadue, Gresham and Kerridge should all do well.

Liking the rucks. Good combo and bench option. If I was to switch the rucks I have (Stef/Mummy), it'd be to those two blokes. Currie's a tad more expensive that your traditional bench cover, but I get why you'd have him.

Robbo is a fantastic POD, barely seen him in any teams, that's probably because Dusty and Barlow are must haves and a lot are going the 2-4 guns and rooks strat it seems. Personally, while I love Menzel, I'd look elsewhere for a better/safe option. Not a Wells guy, but he's cheap for what he can do.

Overall a very solid and unique team to an extent, hopefully it pays off for ya.

Capper

Not sold on Grimley don't know why people are picking him. I wont move Keridge fwd and get another mid.

Very thin in the backline

Keeper27

Cheers for the input guys.
Made some slight changes for the better I hope.

Currie/Kennedy/Menzel/Cox to cox/Stringer/Howard/AMT

Keeper27

quick question guys...

Do i go with Stringer/Crouch (as i think both can increase by 15+) or go with a proven beast in Danger??

TEAM A (Stringer/Crouch)

TEAM B (Danger)

Ringo

Like the Danger Team slightly over the other.  Would prefer a stronger rookie than Howard at F6 though.  May need some tweaking when Rookies are finalised for Rd 1.  B Kennedy is an option but will take all cash.

Is it your intention to keep Crouch or trade up. If not that is why I prefer Team 2 as saving a trade and retaining a player who will be Top 5 miids.  Quite a few teams including myself are looking at that 5 super premo mid field.

You're backline will definitely not be consistent mate.

What happens when the fwd line puts in an average week? It's almost a guarantee that harwood, sheridan and weltering will put in matches in the 60-70 range and when it all happens in the same week + the 60's from your other rookies, I think you'll get caught out

Cheers mate. Cost is gotta pay to have the best starting 5 mids.

Rocky is a lock. He has had a preseason but just hasn't played any NAB Challenge games. He doesn't need a preseason anyway.

How could you not pick a guy that averaged 132 in 2014 and only costs 550k because of some injury affected games last year.

OUT: Crouch
IN: Rocky

Do whatever it takes to get that done.

Agree with both points.

Kendall Jenner is a good looking girl but that GIF is crap and quite possibly a bit creepy if your upwards of 30 years old..
