Ummmm my bid for the Plat Mid 149G was beaten by FTCF so I then bid on the Plat Fwd 149G... you guys just make stuff up as you go.

My bad, missed that. I've been away all week so I'm trying to make sense of it myself, but sure, be a douche :)

I think what you say is correct actually, you get the mid not matter what, but actually get both the mid and fwd if bid cancellation is allowed.

However bid cancellation was never going to be allowed as far as I know, all I said was you guys make up stuff as you go, I wasn't calling anyone a douche. I couldn't bid anymore on any players because I didn't know what was going on, if the bid cancellation is allowed I would have bid on the Plat Def but it is now closed. The whole process was stuffed up basically is all im saying.

I agree it's all flowered up haha, and ftc definitely screwed up with his bid on the ruck. I'm just trying to figure out what happens now (assuming we can't cancel our ruck bid).

Basically he wanted to cancel his bid on the Plat Ruck and the Gold Forward so he could afford the Plat Mid because I bid all my gold on the Plat Mid 149G .. somehow my bid of 149G for the Plat Mid was beaten by his bid of 150G. So I then bid 149G on the Plat Fwd and then he said if he's allowed to cancel bids he is bidding 150 on the Plat Fwd aswell. So I basically didn't know what the hell was going on so I just didn't bother anymore.

I'm going to have to withdraw my Bids for both the Platinum Ruck and Gold Forward, meaning that the new top bid is:

Platinum Ruck: blank
Gold Forward: Rico 58G

If you cant cancel your bids I think you get Gold Fwd, Plat Ruck and Plat Mid .. that's if people didn't start bidding for the Plat Ruck or Gold Fwd after I left .. haven't looked

We don't get the gold forward, Rico bid on that after bid cancellations were mentioned.

The Plat Ruck will be up to Spiteyman to decide, I didn't exactly block anyone by bidding the bare minimum price.

That's my logic if we're stuck with the ruck. Can sell Stef for 50G and then have a 50/50 chance of getting him straight back. Or Goldy.

Alright time to look at who won the auctions!

As with every single auction this year, once you bid, you MUST come up with the money. So in the case of 3 bids on 3 different types of players, you held the top spot in all 3 for a period of time and therefore must front the money for all 3, even if you weren't to win all 3. We did this to stop dummy bidding early in the season. So I know that FC/GL did not mean to intend to drive up the prices, but it happened and so they have to pay for it, just like others have had to in the past (although not that same extremities).

There was some strategy needed to get all the players you wanted...

So with that being said, correct me if I am wrong but the winners stand at:

Gold Defender: Nige 71G
Gold Midfielder: Rico - 65G
Gold Ruck: Nige - 35G
Gold Forward: Rico  - 62G

Platinum Defender: Holz - 82G
Platinum Midfielder: FTCF/GL -150G
Platinum Ruck: FTCF/GL - 51G
Platinum Forward: FTCF/GL - 150G

FTCF also bid 61G on a Gold Forward when he was the top bidder of the other options and therefore also needs to come up with an extra 61G.

Totals:
Nige: 106 G
Rico: 127 G
Holz: 82G
FTCF/GL: 412G

However, if FTCF/GL and FF can agree, I will allow FF to purchase a premo forward for 149G and therefore FTCF/GL will only need to come up with 263G, assuming FF still wants the forward.

Round 16 Gold will not be awarded until this is sorted out.

You don't have to pay for it, just come up with the gold for it, since you bid on it

Also I think I bid 67G on the gold mid, not sure why, but I did
