Sydney Thunder expected line-up,

Aiden Blizzard
Kurtis Patterson
Eoin Morgan
Andre Russell
Ben Rohrer
Jay Lenton
Chris Green
Arjun Nair
Pat Cummins
Clint McKay
Gurinder Sandu

Jay Lenton, that's a name I'm not familiar with. Doesn't look like he is on the system yet.
Morgan named, though I believe he won't be available for the entire tournament.
Nair could be a pretty good cash cow, and both Blizzard and Patterson will have more opportunities than before.

According to Fox, here's the expected Adelaide team for Round 1,

Jake Weatherald
Ben Dunk
Travis Head
Brad Hodge
Kieran Pollard
Jake Lehmann
Alex Carey
Chris Jordan
Kane Richardson
Ben Laughlin
Michael Neser/Tom Andrews (not yet in Squad)

Definitely some fantasy value to open up, Weatherald and Dunk cheap in both formats.
Carey close to a lock if he's taking the gloves at basement price.
Don't think Tom Andrews is on the BBL website yet but might also be a cash cow with Strikers bowling options going down.
News said Strikers likely to go spinless now, which indicates to me that it'll be Neser (who should play anyway). Travis Head and Craig Simmons (Who I have over Weatherald) can bowl 4-5 overs between them if needed. Laughlin basically bowls off spinners anyway :P

Also, looks like Russell's hearing is delayed so will be available. As such he's in my side and gets the C.

Can't decide whether to play mostly DGW players in Rd1 or include some more SGW guys that I like to do well (Marsh brothers, McCullum, Badree, etc.)

Might have to split my strategies over the 2 comps.

I think 7 or 8 is a good amount. Remember that Strikers miss week 2 so don't go with more than 3 of them.

Joel Paris injured as well with a side strain. Adds to: Shaun Marsh, Jason Behrendorff, NCN, Johnson (unlikely for game 1). And they STILL have a plethora of pace stocks to choose from!

Morgan will play the first 5 games before playing ODIs for England ;)

Will get around to finalising those preview pages today.

Also I doubt Jay Lenton will keep over Doran.

Lenton still isn't on the lists on the fantasy websites so he better not keep!
When can we expect squads to be announced? I can't find any yet so hopefully out tonight.

We should get a 13 man squad for the first game today, and maybe a Brisbane squad for Wednesday's game as they are travelling

Today's the first chance I've had to have a good look at my teams.

SC: Currently have 9 DGW starters + Lynn & Badree.

Official: Currently have 11 DGW starters, but have Bravo on the bench and can't decide whether to play him over one of my DGW players :-\

Rolling lockout remember. You can always emergency loophole who you think is the weakest of your DGW players, if they fire up in Game 1 you trade Bravo to a Stars (bye) player, and if not you just keep Bravo on field.

Yeah good point, although just remembered it's harder to loophole in the Official version of the game as they have 2 batsmen and bowlers on the bench and take the lowest emergency score. Means you'd have to have 2 non-scoring players in the one position if you wanted to loop-hole.

Yeah that's the thing. It's also hard because the Stars don't have any decent cheaper options worth having on the bench, aside from Faulkner and mabye Wright (although both are on the pricier side for bench cover) so you have to weigh up whether it's worth the hassle of downgrading a couple of your on-field players to fit them in.

Me, I'm probably still going to do it as I feel constant loopholing is the best way to get ahead in this comp. :P
