Heat article there is not good at all. We are a batsman short IMO, having Cutting at 6 just in't good enough. We have McCullum coming next year, should replace Simmons, but if we sign one more decent batsman we're good there I think.

Bowling is our problem. We should be bringing Badree back, but he was our only standard bowler. Of the guys out of contract, Badree is the only player Id be keeping, then we should go after Johnson, Coulter-Nile, Rimmington, Mennie, Neser and Laughlin. If we could get 2 of them it would be pretty amazing and our squad should get a fair bit better.

Would also be nice if we could hold onto some local talent. Neser, Boyce, Milenko, Gannon, Hartley and Khawaja on Qld contracts but not playing for the Heat. Rimmington and Dunk are also Queenslanders, but haven't had Bulls contracts for a while.

My dream heat line up (realistically) for next season would probably be Lynn (c), McCullum, Pierson (wk), Reardon, Burns/Lehmann/Heazlett/Dean/Clarke/Ross x2, Cutting, Johnson, Coulter-Nile, Badree, Feketee/Steketee/Swepson.

That fixes the bowling up, but still leaves the middle order batting rather weak. Would be nice to have Pup and Mitch come, but can't really see it happening  :(

I assume Ryno Harris is not going to make himself available?
He would be a good pick up for Stars/Heat/Sixers/All Teams Really
Can't see it happening with the injury problems he has/have had. Would take him at the Heat tho.

Fixture is out for BBl|06 and WBBL|02. Looks like the fantasy competition will have the 5 game and 3 game rounds again unless they opt for a completely different format.

Money

Scorchers @ $5.50 to win and Stars @ $6.50 are some high early odds I don't mind

Fixed up the group link & the league code, was doing it in a rush before I went out.  :-[

Anyhoo, I did a first draft of my team.

1. Andre Russell
2. Dwayne Bravo
3. Kieron Pollard
4. Brendan McCullum
5. Kumar Sangakkara
6. Peter Handscomb
7. Moises Henriques
8. David Willey
9. Andrew Tye
10. Ben Cutting
11. Samuel Badree

12. Jake Weatherald
13. Arjun Nair (Placeholder for Labuschagne)
14. Jake Doran
15. Patrick Cummins
16. Jack Wildermuth (Placeholder for hopefully Valente)

I've noticed, being out of the game for a year since my top 50 finish, there is less squeeze on the cap room. The fact I can afford that team is absolutely bonkers. :o

Squads for the teams can be located here - http://www.bigbash.com.au/news/kfc-big-bash-league-bbl06-player-signings-morgan-badree-russell-hogg-bravo-mccullum/2016-11-10

Teams left to fill spots: (the players below are not in the game yet)

Adelaide Strikers - 5 (Laughlin, Neser, Lehmann, Valente?, Benton? Maybe Tom Andrews? - Don't see Putland or Keath receiving another contract - Additionally, Rashid's involvement is predicted to be minimal due to international commitments, so a Third international incoming?)
Hobart Hurricanes - 3 (Hill, Webster, Van der Gugten the 3 off contract players, but Cameron Stevenson would be odds on to get a contract)
Melbourne Renegades - 1 international spot remaining
Perth Scorchers - 2, 1 international (NCN injury replacement & Willey, who will be unavailable in the back half of the competition)
Sydney Sixers - 2, 1 international (Cowan, Edwards & Lumb currently without a contract)
Sydney Thunder - 3 (Beadle, Hartley both currently off-contract, McDonald retired)

Some of the names currently also in limbo who have been released include - Simon Mackin, Nick Buchannan, Peter Forrest

Some of the new names that will feature this year include - Alex Carey, Jake Weatherald, Marnus Labuschagne, Hilton Cartwright, Jhye Richardson, Daniel Hughes, Jason Sangha, Stuart Broad, Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan, Mitchell Johnson - Some aren't new, but all of these players were not contracted in BBL|05.

The salary cap is pretty ridiculous every year, seems to have gone up another level this year. :P

So you're probably not wanting to start with too many Stars considering they have a bye first up & no DGW until Round 7, while the two Sydney franchises seem to be the way to go.

Seems like leagues can only hold 8 people, so here's another league code when the first is full, 577460

fanTCfool

$6000 to be equally shared amongst the highest scoring league, lets hope a FF league can take it out!
There's also a $500 prize for the highest weekly score, and a $1000 prize for the most creative entry in that 25 words or less at the start.
