Has Jacobs ever been a decent SC'er?  He's got a 5 game healthy average in DT, but not sure of his SC history.  At the moment I'm bringing Gawn in this week, but also have thought about holding Nat for 1 week and turning him to Jacobs after his bye.
Previous two seasons have been 115 in '14 and 108 in '15. He also went 102 back in '12.

He just isn't the same without Danger and isn't getting as many HOTA as he has been the last couple of season.

Anyone looking at Martin if West is dropped?

Wouldnt think so

You really need Goldy and Gawn now with NicNat out

Stef as r3 possibly
If he's named as the sole ruck, why can't he score at just 85% of what he did last year? That's still a 94 average, and at $347,000, is a bargain.

Maybe I should stop talking myself into this :P

Cool cheers, is a risky move, don't think I could do it though.

Haha, love the optimism man but that's seemingly a stretch based on what we've seen

That concussion really was the turning point. 347K for a r3 with his potential is great value though

Love to go SMartin to Goldy but would chew up 260K to do and I still would have no ruck coverage.
Been hoping for West to get dropped and it has happened.  So sticking with SM for the byes.   One option was to bring in Sinclair for fwd/ruck coverage.

Anybody know what situation with Lycett is?   Was considering him a r3/f7 option

AaronKirk

Mummy and Nic Nat out this week  >:(

I am trading Nic Nat and holding Mummy.

Dropped for disciplinary reasons.

Apparently missed a team meeting on Sunday morning.

Still a bit confused as to why people don't think Stef can return to form?  Comparing him to Gawn.

West played Rounds 9-12.

Stef averaged 98.125 from rounds 1-8 if you adjust his 63 in a half for a full game.

Take out the 69 which came the week after the concussion (and he was questionable to play- probably shouldn't have) and that average becomes 102.

102 average for $347k
vs
116 average for $586k

14ppg for $240k.

The run home for him is:
Giles, Hampson, Nicholls/Currie, Mummy, Leuey, Trengove/Lobbe, Jacobs, Kreuz, Smith, Hickey

Scores from last year against those teams: 140, 120, 98, 112, 76, 120, 145, 135, 132 (average: 120, +10PPG on last year's average)

Thee run home for Gawn is:
Jacobs, Griff/Sandi, Hickey, Lycett, Currie/Nicholls, Ceglar, Lobbe, Kreuz, Smith

Gawn will score some monsters looking at that :-*

Can you trust Stef though? West could come back in for all you know. Gawn has nobody challenging him

I'm trying to figure out the downside of Stef v Gawn.

Maxy's scoring has been a bit worrying of late.  3 of last 5 games have been single digit disposal games.

v Doggies 49 (Campbell) 6d 42 hitouts
v Lions 56 (West) 7d 29 hitouts
v Port 167 (Trengove)  18d 48 hitouts 2g
v Hawthorn 115 (Pittonet) 8d 50 hitouts
v Collingwood 119 (Grundy)  27d 31 hitouts  3g

That competition is utter crap.  He had career high disposals and goals and only managed 119 this week.  Very few HOTA.

I think Maxy's form may be quitely on the decline.  His basement is far less pronounced than Stef's.

I'm also trying to make as good a case as I can for Stef right now so don't mind me :P

Everyone's scored crap against Dogs. So not just Maxy.

Score against Lions was shower... But every ruck that day scored terrible (Stef & West) so coukd say game was more flowing and uncontested meaning he was always headed towards a lacklustre day. 29 hitouts isn't great is it.

So was out of form those two games but I think that's a little unfair. And now has a 3 game average of 134 and came off a BOG where he dominated but you say he's out of form? Oh geez :P

Think Stef could be a good buy but I want the best of the best in my team if I can. Have a few stragglers already from my starting team so couldnt afford a ruckman who may go 110 but probably will end up 100-105. Only because of his bad bad bad form and his injury copped from May. That's just me though. Upto you mate. But if I was making this deicisions, MAXY 100%.

I traded Stef to Gawn two weeks ago....

Don't worry, it's Maxy all the way.  Just toying with the idea of Stef.  For the record, I think Stef will average 105 from here and Maxy will average 115.

Hope your right on Stef and 105.  Be happy to see him avg that over the rest of the season.    Would love to upgrade to Goldy.  Just dont have the Cash or trades at the moment.

I think he goes 100 from here on, and at 350k, the cash saved can really help finish my team off. Just gotta hope West stays away!

I like going against the grain, and trading in someone who most of his SC owners want to trade out is the ultimate move ;D
