Don't worry, it's Maxy all the way.  Just toying with the idea of Stef.  For the record, I think Stef will average 105 from here and Maxy will average 115.

I think he goes 100 from here on, and at 350k, the cash saved can really help finish my team off. Just gotta hope West stays away!

I like going against the grain, and trading in someone who most of his SC owners want to trade out is the ultimate move ;D

I'm doing the same thing! The extra cash will make such a difference in finishing my team... i think the points lost can be made up in other lines that I finish off!

Everyone's scored crap against Dogs. So not just Maxy.

Score against Lions was shower... But every ruck that day scored terrible (Stef & West) so coukd say game was more flowing and uncontested meaning he was always headed towards a lacklustre day. 29 hitouts isn't great is it.

So was out of form those two games but I think that's a little unfair. And now has a 3 game average of 134 and came off a BOG where he dominated but you say he's out of form? Oh geez :P

Think Stef could be a good buy but I want the best of the best in my team if I can. Have a few stragglers already from my starting team so couldnt afford a ruckman who may go 110 but probably will end up 100-105. Only because of his bad bad bad form and his injury copped from May. That's just me though. Upto you mate. But if I was making this deicisions, MAXY 100%.

Ok, so i have Gawn, with Nic Nat needing to move on due to injury i am seriously also considering Martin as R2 now that West has been dropped, i can't see Hipwood taking much ruck duties therefore Martin playing pure ruck again. I can afford Goldy, he has a high BE & i'm concerned his not playing @ 100% due to his knee.

Is this madness passing on Goldy & rolling the dice on Martin, or if you have the cash just grab Goldy?

Yeah i know what you mean, might hold off a week thou given his BE is 165 & Daw is back in which will no doubt share some ruck duties with him. (I'm still fielding 19 this week without him)

Torn between this also, looked @ Martins first few games playing sole ruck this year & the scores looked good, then also was on 63 against GC with 51% TOG until he was concussed. Struggled the next two games, shouldn't have  played against the Dog's then a nice score against Power, all down hill from there...

Based on this i may take a punt with him given they have kinda been resting him - Real tempting now.

Still a bit confused as to why people don't think Stef can return to form?  Comparing him to Gawn.

West played Rounds 9-12.

Stef averaged 98.125 from rounds 1-8 if you adjust his 63 in a half for a full game.

Take out the 69 which came the week after the concussion (and he was questionable to play- probably shouldn't have) and that average becomes 102.

102 average for $347k
vs
116 average for $586k

14ppg for $240k.

The run home for him is:
Giles, Hampson, Nicholls/Currie, Mummy, Leuey, Trengove/Lobbe, Jacobs, Kreuz, Smith, Hickey

Scores from last year against those teams: 140, 120, 98, 112, 76, 120, 145, 135, 132 (average: 120, +10PPG on last year's average)

Taking punt on NicNat to Martin. Value for money too good to ignore if the whole "resting" through playing West is ligit and he now retains sole ruck duties.

Risky yes, but can use money elsewhere instead of getting Goldy. Note my other ruck is big Maxxy

I read that earlier, about Leppa saying Martin needs to lift etc

The cash I save picking Martin over Gawn could be used to get my final defender and with trades being so low maybe that's the better move

The flipside is what if Martin comes out scoring 50-80? Hmmmm damn NicNat why did you have to go down this very week! Wish I had a week to see Stef without West first
