Gee we have trouble containing in the last overs don't we. Should have restricted them to less than 250 but now may be chasing 270 which will be hard on that wicket.

Trust the IPL Franchises had one eye on Ussies start here,  Went unsold in IPL.

Do not fall in a heap guys build on the start as the ball will start stopping as it did with Ussies dismissal.

And as I Type Smith goes.

Edit:  And Bailey goes for a golden duck.  Time for Maxwell to play a mature innings and guide us home with Davey.

So Smith averages 56.91 in ODI's in Australia...compared to 25.71 outside of Aus (same amount of innings) (source: cricinfo)

What a massive flat-track bully aha! Iirc (should look it up but cbf) he scored about 20 runs in the 3 lost ashes tests last series compared to about 400 in the other two!

Aus should get home here despite the double setback, as long as Warner stays in for a bit longer. Still got Marsh and Wade in the sheds if need be.

Time for Bailey to go. Maxwell only staying because he can bowl. Thank gosh we selected usman or Warner would of run out of partners by now.

Mitch marsh. Gee whiz. Besides that 100.... Needs to step up. Same with wade. Time to prove yourselves!

Bill Manspeaker

how good has Hastings' innings been. Mitch Marsh with another match winning innings too (pretty sure he did this not long ago, my memory is flowered ;D)

The_Captain

Good on your Hastings. Played the innings we needed wade to play. Props to marsh as well! Bit shaky at start but came good!

But seriously... Wade, Bailey and maxwell are liabilities.

Neville surely a better option, even Paine or whiteman.

Time to blood another batter like Lynn or head instead of Bailey.

Scored his maiden ton at the Oval in 2013 though :) That was the makings of Steve Smith right there. (It also contributed to prolonging Watson's test career as he made a dead rubber ton but we will forget that bit :P)

Yeah, think we can definitely ignore his 56 avg against India in the ODI series that just passed ay

Way too many flaws in his technique. Only scores runs when the team is doing well.
