90 isn't a premo.

24 ppg price rise isn't as good as you'll get from a rookie.

Injury prone. Won't play more than 18 games.

Has been. Won't average 90.

Ranga. Has no soul.
Jeez your not missing Cooney MMM.      Thanks for giving him to the Bombers as if we had nothing else to worry about?

Beams at 3.66% as one of the elite super mids and Higgins at 2.22%as a fwd POD look good to me.
Just got Higgins atm but if I can start Beams I will.

I'd be careful with them man, both have injury concerns atm. They should be ok but just keep an eye on their next 2-3 weeks

Very unique, in less than 1% of teams..  Nana Mouskouri

Just Heard that Beams may not play NAB3 but hopeful for Rd 1 so that may need to be factored in.

Beams' shoulder has taken ages to get right...I saw an interview about a month back saying he felt good but lacked some confidence and hadn't really tested it out or similar and if he doesn't play any NAB then I'll probably shy away from him but he was a magnificent POD last year for a long time before he got injured...if it's right and he is named R1 he will be tempting.
Higgins will be okay I think.

Backed in Hanners last season 8)

Parker the year before that too. Picking mid-priced POD's at the start of the year that turn into guns is the best bit about SC. I find it thoroughly boring to go with the same blokes everyone else is.

I started Hanners last year, IMO his starting price was not a mid price, it fell under the awkward price

Its bloody hard to have mid price success though and has ruined my team many times, I got Parker and Libba the years they went bang, but have failed probably 100 times over the years and have since learnt to totally ignore pre season.

That said, I have 3 GWS smokies, Shiel, DSmith & Cogs, hoping at least 1 goes big - not mid pricers...again fall under the awkward tag

Too many variables to try and pick a breakout from rd 1...90% is fluke I reckon if you gottem before Rd 1 lockout

Ive always ranked better with premiums and rooks instead of trying to bag a few mid priced breakouts

Higgins to have knee surgery & beams has had an interrupted preseason.
Beams is like Mumford in that everyone respects their ability to score but no1 likes their game counts each year.

Beams is probably best forgotten about but Higgins has had a full pre season till now... Straightforward clean up, will be right for round 1, surgeon thinks he could play last NAB even...but likely won't. He's played 41 games (20/21) last two seasons. Given past history and knee surgery it will scare plenty off but I prepared to take a punt on him and think he might be a top 6 fwd this year.

Anyone considering Pearce Hanley? Pretty under-priced for someone who averaged 100 in 2014 after an injury-plagued 2015.
