Tippett,Sheil,Rich(I think),A.Walker and maybe Mummy if I can't afford S.Martin.

Plus Fyfe,GAJ,Pendles,Rocky,Libba,Crouch,Wells,Martin,Barlow,Buddy - so a decent balance I think.

Dont have many but im seriously considering GC Lynch...

Parker is another..plus im considering Langdon or Williams at Collingwood..

Mat0369

Considering Gunston is out, the current unique players I have are

Mitch Robinson
Luke Parker
Lids (if 10% is unique)
Nic Nat (13.5% so maybe not)

Then Mackenzie (6.36%) and Harwood (0.47%) as mid price stepping stones.

Marley Williams? Like players at about that 60 game range. Great user of the footy and is ultra consistent. Any love?
Considered him, but not gutsy enough to start him myself haha

Matty Boyd plays his first 8 games under the roof. He'll be averaging 120 and you guys won't be able to afford him. Some will shell out the cash and he'll go on to pump out an average of 90 (season average of 100.9) from then on but the train would have sailed.

I'll be on that train before it sets sail......
I am however slightly concerned about its buoyancy!

Boyd: start him or don't get him at all, and I'd rather not not have him.

Wines if I want an extra mid premium.

Mumford and/or Stef Martin.

But overall not too many. I think most of the popular players are popular for a reason. SC is won over 23 weeks and I'll continue to back my judgement during the year to get myself ahead.

If a popular pick like Dusty Martin goes down, you're only behind the 5% that know what they're doing, didn't start him and got lucky. If your POD goes down, you're behind the 95% that don't have him and that's tougher to come back from.

PS I'm not downplaying the difference of a good POD btw

Very hard to pick that POD in preseason given so many sc publications now. Trading your way to victory is the only way

Lachie Hunter 0.69%  8)

As a midfielder?

Yep, Mid only unfortunately this year, would have him locked as a Forward

RaisyDaisy

All this talk about POD'S, most people seem to look for ones that are unique, but 90% of the time they don't match the proven top tier guns

Want a pod? Start Hanners, JPK  Gray etc elite players with low ownership - not guys that need to take it the next level because that puts you behind when they don't

tor01doc

What % ownership makes a player a POD?

Say < 10%.

Higher nowadays because as eaglesman said, there are a lot of SC publications around.

Hello.  ;)

RaisyDaisy

Welcome back Doc

Just having a pod doesn't count for much. Needs to be a positive pod and that's the hard part - nailing that, which is why going mostly cookie cutter is the most successful approach.

It's just a matter of getting on board the bolters and breakouts before its too late
