I know i should have not used 7 trades by now and i'm going to stop...

and please don't reply saying your stuffed and all this crap coz of 13 trades left...

i have traded out mitchell for scully this week and dangerfield to leon davis...

i realise now that i should have traded out ziebell instead.. and should maybe not have traded out mitchell...

i don't think i'm stuffed just yet..

i have a strategy that may not work but hell with it...

in about 4-5 weeks i will start trading again.. (YES even if there is someone who gets seriously injured i will sub them for a while) and if umm say Gilbee or Malceski keep going up and ziebell doesn't do too well or if scully keeps going up i will downgrade either mal or gilbee to someone who went down and is starting to come up again.. for example mitchell, vince.. not saying i will get them... but if i do that and if scully keeps getting 90's i might be able to get a mid-price/premium back to my mids...


and one more thought...

if i downgrade someone in a while and get about 150k and then if hille stays about the 300k area should i get rid of him.. to say kruzer or tippett (If he starts to perform)??

Just remember the key to SC is maximising your cash cows (rookies). So trading them out when they reach a peak in price (look @ BE to determine, ofter takes 6-8 matches for this to happen) for $$$ and use that cash to upgrade other rookies or mid-pricers. This requires trades, so the less trades you use on bulls#$% the more you have to upgrade your team.

Thats why you don't be too hasty trading out those mid-priced players except if gonna bottom out (eg. Tippett).

You'll probably have to start trading again in about 2 weeks to start culling the cows. Which will burn trades but something you just gotta do.

Dont worry about Malceski, Gilbee, Dangerfield or Hille for now - if not performing these will be the players you upgrade with $$$. And keep if are performing e.g. Malceski and Gilbee on recent form.

Hillz I bet there are a lot more people out there that have used trades in the same manner you did. I am just proud of you for admitting it. The people who say they have only made 1 trade or 0 trades are big fat liars. So chin up hun.

Season definitely not over Hilly, with smart trading and a bit of luck from here on in you can finish top 5000. Probably not the best trades you could've made but you've made them now and you have to deal with it. Like alman said the best thing to do from now on is trade on merit instead of saving trades, because if you save trades you could miss out on getting a bottomed premium or making max cash from a cash cow. In a couple of weeks you need to start bringing money into your bank, trade out a couple of cash cows, don't upgrade just yet though, wait for the perfect moment when a premium has bottomed out and has a low BE and your midpricer has maxed out with a high BE, that is when you need to start doing some upgrading. If you do this you can maximise on points and more importantly money, the more money you save the less cash cows you have to cull, thus saving trades. You just have to be very careful and think about ll your trades very hard. You obviously panicked with those trades because now you can see what you did wrong, not just poor judgement. Whatever you do Don't Panic or your season really could go down the drain.

Hilly, Ive made 6 mate(lots of mistakes, masten anyone?) . Dw bout it. Just sit on your trades till your cash cows on the bench are ready to downgrade. And remember to only trade who needs to go first. Work on the worst part of your team first.
