He was only behind Bont and Wallis in the midfield at the dogs last year.

As a midfield player who has good forward awareness he will be suited to the new interchange rules.

You cannot just discredit what he did in the midfield last year because Libba is back. I expect him to still play around 70% of the time in the mids and improve on his 17 goals from last year by spending more time on the ground as a resting small forward.

He has been in my side from day one and unless he plays a lot more forward time than usual in the NAB challenge he is a lock for me.

Who's discrediting what he did in the midfield last year?

I personally think Libba, Bont, Wallis and Macrae will all play majority midfield which will mean that Dahlhaus won't be in the middle nearly as much as he was last year. He will still hit the scoreboard but I just can't see him averaging as much as he did last year with what I'm expecting to be less midfield minutes.

There's an article on the doggies website saying Wallis will play more forward this year.
Dahl will spend time forward because he's a good goal kicker but he said himself that he wants to keep his midfield role.

This was from an article last month:

With Liberatore on schedule to return in Round 1, Dahlhaus won’t be giving up his spot in the midfield easily, doing extra work over the offseason break to make sure he came back in the best possible shape.

“I’ve gone away in the offseason, obviously had pretty good break, but tried to build on my fitness that I built in the last preseason, so hopefully I’ve come back a bit fitter and better and can spend most of my time in the midfield while hopefully going up forward as well."

we see articles about players changing roles all the time in the preseason they rarely eventuate just saying

Ringo

I am re thinking this atm namely trying to work out what Dahls role will be with the Crameri suspension.

shaker

With Martin cleared to play Dahlhaus has made way for him

Bont could be another to spend more time fwd .
I can't see Dahl's average dropping.

Completely agree but this isn't about a role change as he was already a mid last year. More weather he can hold the spot which I think he does considering how good his season was

Ringo

Another factor to consider as well with the reduction in interchange there may be more interchanging of players acrooss positions so that may also assist Dahl.

Really having a debate with myself regarding Dahl has been in and out of my team about 10 times each time I find a reason for or against.

As a non- Bulldogs supporter, I agree with Aaron. He must  be picked and with Lobbe now picked, can go four gun c/f with Dahlhous, Martin, Deledio and most likely Rioli

Wut?

Ricochet

I would have thought that Liam Picken would have been the one that feels the effect of the Libba return, not Dahlhaus

Bill Manspeaker

I'm rapt that 'e' is gone :P

PICCOLLO

He's close to a lock for me. Plays almost every game and usually and scores well, with the capacity to get larger 100s.

PiPies

Just read that Wallis has been spending time working on his forward craft and expects to spend more time forward this season, gives me a little more confidence starting Dahlhaus.

Some fairly compelling arguments and information with regards to his role this year have made me reconsider picking him.

I'm still not convinced that he will increase last years average but I prefer him to Bennell, Zorko and Wingard at around the same price. Even if he maintains his average then he will be a good pick.

With the cash saved on Goldy to Lobbe, I can now turn Bird into Dahl.

Goldy + Bird = more points then Lobbe + Dahl
