What the hell am I missing?

I am seeing him in so many teams and I just don't get it. One season averaging 88 and years of averaging 70

Why the hell is this guy becoming so popular?

Why not just spend an extra 100k for Buddy etc, and save the trade you will need to upgrade him later

I just don't get it. Even with the Bomber saga, I still don't get it

In the 2014 year he average 97.71 from 17 games which were not subbed affected.

In the 2015 year he averaged around 80 when unsubbed but was out of favour at the swans.

Will play every week in the midfield, won't tag (as he did in the past) and could easily average 90 which would make him a decent F6/F7 come seasons end.

For the price he is and DPP he is definitely worth considering and currently is my F4.

Bird to average more than Barlow :)

I read he was a real ball magnet as a junior, a real option as Fwd now with the bans.

Don't understand the Bird hype either, he's not that good, if he was - he would still be at Sydney.

Capper

He left Sydney because younger and faster players went past him and now the dons need some experience in the mids. If all the dons players were playing i wouldnt touch him, but now they are he is worth a look in your fwd lines

Pretty much my reasoning too, purely situational. Will probably be their third or fourth key mid along with Goddard, Zerrett and Zaharakis.

Has proven he can score whilst playing midfield, I reckon an 85 or so average isn't out of the question.

kilbluff1985

yeah i'm seeing the reasoning was never given a proper chance in the midfield at Sydney i think he will really relish being one of the senior midfielders with responsibility

A bit like JPK would still be at Hawthorn?

Spare me.

Capper

With out looking at his stats i would say his disposal efficiency is good but isnt the quickest runner

A 97.71 average unsubbed in 2014 surrounded by blokes like Kennedy, Parker, Hannebery, Jack, Mcveigh, Mcglynn (who averaged well) and others, shows that when given a run, is a gun. Will be a starting on baller, will be prolific. Lock.

Not saying he can't do it again but it's a lot easier to get plenty of quality possessions in a team that finishes on top of the ladder.
He's going to be on the receiving end of some very one sided games which he's never had before so will be interesting to Se how he adapts to being one of the key mids in a team that's getting beaten very week

Would need to look at if he was winning the ball himself or if those pleyers were spoon feeding him. He would have had more space, better quality leads, overlaps. Gonna be much harder in a team that will be very inexperienced.
