i wonder how much Crowley will be
Should be just under 200k. Think about 180kish

Any chance he won't tag? Or more chance hell will freeze over lol?

You would have to think he will tag in most games. The Bombers will get thumped every week so at least with Crowley tagging they can nullify the best player they are up against each week.

No chance I don't reckon, he can't hit the side of a barn by foot!

Yeah it was a long shot lol. Might have been half worthy of considering if he wasn't tagging, will certainly play every week and reached an amazing career high of 66 in 2007 haha

James Kelly has also officially joined Ess

Herald Sun reporting Crowley, Kelly, Stokes, Jamar, Dwyer and Simpkin are the 6 Essendon are looking to lock in

Dwyer averaged 86 (removing his sub-affected games) in 2014 and would be very cheap. He had 3 games around the 70-mark this year as well.
Crowley I have no idea why Essendon would be interested in; surely it couldn't be good for PR? Probably only good for 55-60 anyway based on his scoring history.
Stokes went at about 80 unsubbed this year after 96 and 97 the previous two years.
Jamar I wouldn't touch, can't be good for Berger's scores though if he comes in.
Kelly 85 unsubbed this year and decent scoring history.
Simpkin Would be an excellent pick I think after averaging 88 unsubbed in 2014 (half of his 16 games were green sub) and playing only 1 for 26 in 2015...

So for me, Dwyer and Simpkin look the goods from that lot!

What would be the maximum price you would be prepared to pay for them though?

Good question. I'd be hoping for around the 200k mark I guess, given they'd be scoring more than rookies but still far less than the premiums.

DPP? Could be one to consider down back as he will probably spend plenty of time on the ball

Any chance of him being Def/Mid? He would be priced at 410k roughly and good for a 88-92 ave as an experienced member in an inexperienced midfield group. Would rather him over Hurn and some of the other options.

How many games will he play though?

I think that's the issue with Kelly and any of the older brigade of top up players.

JUST IN | Jonathan Simpkin has become the third top-up player signed by @EssendonFC for the 2016 season.

Yet another that was expected.  The last 3/4 will be the interesting ones imo.

So Essendon have said McKernan will play as a key forward and they are struggling to find a ruckman.
Makes Berger even more of a lock for me

Pity his midfielders consist of spastics, so all those HOTA will be very scarce. Remember you don't get points for every hitout like the past. Good ruckman tick, height tick, athletic tick, ability tick, ball winning ability tick,

But

Good midfielders at his feet cross, injury prone tick

Simply, old SC rules I would take the risk bc I could see him at 95-105, new rules I struggle to see 80-85. Plus, he is bound to miss games through injury.

Essendons midfield won't be great but I think you're being a little harsh on them haha.
Goddard, Merrett, Zaharakis, Cooney, Simpkin, Kelly etc will still win the ball

Tippaaaaaaa

Got him at F8 and Brown at D6/8 so the DPP between them will be handy too
