Woosha just done a Q&A on Twitter and Facebook, some fantasy relevant answers here -

Q: #AskTheCoach John, what has Simpkin's preseason been like and do you think he will be a regular starter in the side?
A: He's had a really good pre-season and like all players will now earn his spot in the side based on form.

Q: Sam Grimley to play FWD or Ruck? Leuenberger on track for Rd1? #AskTheCoach
A: Grimley will play mainly forward and Leuenberger is on track for round one but may only play one NAB Challenge game.

Q: love Aaron Francis do you expect him to be ready for round 1? #AskTheCoach
A: We expect he'll be ready but we'll monitor him through the NAB Challenge and won't rush him and take a risk.

Q: #AskTheCoach What role do you see for Nick Kommer this year? Glad he's back. Best of luck coach
A: Nick's best role will be as a creative small forward who also puts enormous pressure on the opposition.

Q: I am hoping Zach Merrett will have a breakout season this year. What role do you have planed for him ?
A: Zach will get more time through the midfield but will also play a key role as a forward as he has in the past.

Q: G'day Woosha. Much has been said about the talent of Darcy Parish this preseason. Is there any player from your time at West Coast that his skills and style remind you of?
A: Out of the players at West Coast he has similar attributes to Luke Shuey. He's good at finding the ball inside but also finds space and uses the ball well on both sides of his body.

Q: This year can we expect to see Aaron Francis and matt Dea getting regular game time? And does Nick Kommer have a chance at getting back to his 2014 season where he played more regular games?
A: Francis and Dea are both good enough to play regularly but selection will be based around a team focus and the fact that Francis is a first-year player will be taken into account. Kommer's progressing really well and has impacted on the training track so we're all keen to see him in the NAB Challenge.

Q: Hey Woosha, just after your thoughts on Crowley.. Will you play him as a forward or through the middle?? Or will he do defensive jobs on the competitions guns?
A: We know Crowley's capability as a run-with player but we'll explore the impact he can have in other roles as well. We are keen to not rely solely on a specific run-with player every week, but Crowley will give us comfort to know we can go to him as required.

You just know most the people that ask these questions are asking for SuperCoach purposes and couldn't really give a rats ass about Essendon haha. Unfortunately the coaches in these Q&A's give the same boring cliche answers as they do at press conferences

According to Pelchen, three young players will benefit most from the suspensions handed down to their more experienced teammates.

Shaun Edwards, Kyle Langford and Jayden Laverde played just four matches together in 2015, but appear more likely to hold down regular positions in John Worsfold’s team this year.

“If these suspensions didn’t occur, then these three would have expected to play games, but they probably weren’t all in the best 18,” Pelchen said.

“I think you will now find these three will play virtually every week. It will challenge them mentally and physically, but not with their ability. The three guys are really talented footballers.”

Second-year players Jayden Laverde and Kyle Langford have also increased their physique to be closer to an AFL 'shape'

Then use this year to pump as many games as possible into Jayden Laverde, Kyle Langford, Aaron Francis, Darcy Parish, Orazio Fantasia and Zach and Jackson Merrett.

He's coming into fallback plans if the forward rookies don't show. There's understandably not much(any) talk about him but he's on my Essendon NAB watchlist

the answers are always the same in the ask the coach section they do every year

Got what I needed out of that ... Leuey a chance for NAB 3 and therefore a chance for round 1.

Perfect for my Draft Team  ;D

Woosha told us nothing really.
NAB and R1 will tell the story.
Grimley is the interesting one. As a ruck/ fwd he presents possibly as cover for set and forgets... Paired with
M King swingman/loophole or go him solo... Bit to consider. Up to now I was only having King.

I'm thinking Grimley R3 and Petracca at M11 to maintain the loophole

Like it as I was already planning on having Petracca if not R1.

Grimley at R3 to get R2 to Goldy asap.
