RD you don't have Dea?

I have no idea why people are picking this guy. 180k for a guy who will average poorly if he plays round 1 at all.

Dea is a very limited footballer, he looks and plays a bit like Duncan Kellaway but without the ability to win his own ball. Francis Jackson actually plucked this guy from obscurity and it shows with his skills.

Essendon seem like they could be a good source for rookies this year - -but how many is too many? Considering they are going to do things tough

I currently have Brown, Hartley, Polkinghorne, Grimley and Tippa/Kommer

5 seems like a lot, and they may not all play anyway, but for now they seem likely

Too much?
Unless there's injuries I reckon 3/4 of those 6 play. Which will make it a bit harder for us

think it's more like 4 or 5 of those  will play as they play different positions and Grimley is killing it

At this stage brown is the only absolute lock. We'll find out soon enough over the next couple of weeks about the others

What's your take on a best 22-24?
I had a rough look and it's pretty hard to fit them in

Craig Bird Semmed to be everywhere then just disappeared. I had him till i saw buddy was only 120k more.

priced at 348k this comment from DT talk made me optomistic (note this is a Dream Team perspective)

If there was another player at the Bombers that was more of an AFL Fantasy lock after today it would be scary, do yourself a favour and log in to AFL Fantasy to put Bird in your team now. Bird was attending multiple centre bounces and roamed throughout the midfield in a stand out performance, at his price and DPP status he is highly valuable to start in Round 1 for any coach.

He has been in and out of my team from the get go.

I'm a little bit hesitant to pick him with all the bomber rookie options up forward, namely Grimley, Kommer, Tippa/Brown

Grimley in the rucks
Kommer up front
and then Brown locked in the backline
Tippa def or fwd (prob def)

Yeah, Grimley to swing up forward though so some weeks it will be Grimley, Kommer and one of Tippa/Brown so that's three and then Bird makes four.

If Bird runs through the mids regularly I'll be really surprised by <95 ave

He should pretty much be a midfielder this year. In saying that, he's really gotta score as a keeper this year to a) be a keeper, or b) make over $100k, at which point he'll probably just sit at F6 anyway. I'm not sure I'm comfortable picking him over 23 rounds.

not sure at 350k he needs to be a keeper.

450k is a 85 average so if he can put together some good scores he should be able to reach that 450k margin. If i have a spare 100k lying around at some point then might be able to get lids.
