Profile:

2015 was a decent breakout year for Bell, where he was able to cement his spot in the Blues 22, get more time in the midfield, and have a much bigger impact on the scoreboard. He also finished 4th in their Best and Fairest. At the end of the year, he decided he wanted to go back home to Queensland to be closer to his family.

Bell will be looking to again cement his position in the Lions squad, but that shouldn't be too difficult after the year he just had, along with the experience he will bring to the extremely young Lions team.

Pros:

Should have good JS

Still a lot of room for improvement

About to enter his prime

Cons:

Won't get as much midfield time

2015 was first good year for fantasy

Inconsistent

May take a few weeks to settle in to the team

Prediction:

While Bell should easily be best 22 at Brisbane, I don't see him getting a lot of midfield time, which could see a bit of a drop off in his scores from 2015. With Rocky, Beams, Hanley, Rich, Zorko, Bastinac, Taylor, Christensen, Robinson all best 22 and all likely to get mid time, along with fringe players such as Robertson, Lester, Keays, and Mathieson, I don't see him getting a lot of opportunity in the middle, but instead will likely play a high half forward role. Could potentially hit the scoreboard a bit more often though, so I think by the end of the season, he could end up around the same average, maybe slightly less. I'd say around an 85 average though, but could go at around 90 after the first month or so, as even Beams took about a month to get into the groove of things after he joined Brisbane.

I think he will remain a high-ceiling player.

Will rack up mediocre scores half the time and then go big when the Lions play well (135-160ppg range). Whether he averages 80-105 will depend on how well the Lions go next season imo (I don't see him dropping below a low 80's average regardless of how the team goes)

Yep fell back to pre 2015 scoring levels and then got injured. Never gonna be a 90+ average without huge injury risks with him. On my red list to never pick.

Great idea to revisit your posts. Might do mine come years end.

Yeah these things are always hard to predict  :-\

I don't think anyone saw Jenkin's rise this season
