Profile:

2015 was an extremely tough year for Rocky (or 'The GOAT', as he shall now be called). Was named captain, taking over from Jed Adcock, and in round 1 Travis Varcoe decided that kneeing The GOAT in the ribs sounded like a good idea, leaving The GOAT with some broken ribs and getting subbed off just after half time. He then returned a few weeks later a bit rusty, and spending more time forward, before getting concussed about 2 minutes into the round 5 clash with the Suns, and again getting subbed off without even recording a stat to his name. The GOAT played the next 4 games, before breaking his ribs again at the start of round 9, but being the brilliant man that he is, played out the game and was one of Brisbane's better players on the day. He then missed the next 5 weeks to make sure he was 100% ready to go when he returned, and boy was he ready. The GOAT absolutely dominated the second half of the season, with only one bad game against the Kangaroos where he was tagged by Ben Jacobs.

The GOAT will be looking forward to his second year as captain of the Lions, and without any injuries (or suspensions), a Brownlow could be on the cards.

Got suspended like twice in 2014, so could have another brain fade



Prediction:

Just lock him in, or quit Supercoach. Literally the only thing that could possibly go wrong (barring injury which could happen to any player), is if he gets suspended for like a week. But since becoming captain, I'd say he'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, as he'll want to lead by example. Some people might say that Beams being 100% fit will limit The GOAT's scoring, but I can't see that happening. Should easily go 120+ and be a top 3 mid come seasons end.

Anyone starting $150,000 cheaper than the year before has got to be seriously considered, and given that is Rocky, locked.

Love the write-ups mate, very well done. My only criticism is your suggestion that Rockliff will "easily go 120+" which seems fairly unlikely to me! He (statistically-speaking) looks more like a 110 player with an outlying year of 130.
Of course he is still a bargain and I have locked him in, but I feel you'll be disappointed if you are banking on 120+ given that last year there was only 1 mid in the comp who cracked the 120 average; Fyfe.

Maybe "easily" was a strong word, but he did average a tick over 120 after coming back from his broken ribs the 2nd time, and there's no reason he can't replicate that scoring again considering he went 130 the year before

Anyone doubting his appetite for ball has not really looked at his stats , of course his average was down last year because of injury if he stays injury free and fit this year watch out no.1 scoring mid for me  ;)

I thought it would be because SC always has a significant amount of first year noobs who aren't familiar with who the guns are (these people tend to auto-draft their teams as well). Because Rockliff isn't the prominently first listed midfielder he was at the start of last season, coaches who are new to fantasy football think he is just an ordinary premium - because his 2015 average - rather than the Pig.

At least experienced coaches gain a well deserved advantage. In DT, Dustin Martin is more selected than Rocky  :P
