Couple of comments from a Qld pesrpective,

Do you think Suns will match bid for Brad Scheer - I will be glad to get him at Lions but think Suns may match.

Our own Academy picks for this year Allison and Rolls seemed to have dropped down the order a bit so we may not even have to bid for them.

Nige

Suns will get Scheer even if they have to go into deficit I reckon.

Pkbaldy

Agreed, they'll match almost anything. From what i've seen, not really good GC academy students coming through next year.

Lions @ 21 will bid on him I reckon.

meow meow

GC have a million 2nd round picks next year so going into deficit won't bother them. I whipped up the PD in 5 minutes so don't take it too seriously. Doesn't even have WC's pick in it. Nor does it have Cumming who GWS will match.

Would not be happy with Scharenberg, poor tank, poor kick & slow. My smokey is Brandan Parfitt, grossly underestimated, just ran a 14.6 beep in a last minute testing session.

Yes Schaz has his downsides, but he's great at playing inside - may lack athleticism and kicking ability but can extract it and lay some tackles and I'd love to grab him at 29 which seems about what he should be taken at. Lucky for you I reckon the Tiges will grab somebody like Cedric Cox.

Parfitt is another guy who I could definitely see going around that late 20s-early 30s range, can definitely accumulate touches with both work rate and agility - reminds me of Jack Steven.

Very similar in style and Steven also had the big queries on his kicking. For what it's worth, Parfitt isn't nearly as bad a kick as some are suggesting in the media. He's better than Clarke, Scharenberg & Graham for what it's worth. The only reason he's out of the discussion is due to Tadgh Kennelly playing him out of position for the Allies.

Brief CV

AA 2015
Highest disposal tally - 47 (Macca's Cup)
3 goal performance in Reserves EF
27 disposals in u/18 GF
Twice named in best players when playing seniors (2015)
76% DE playing NT
70% DE playing for North Adelaide u/18's
14.6 Beep Test
Top 6 for metres gained 2015 state carnival

Whoever takes him will be getting a serious bargain, my money is on Port with a pick in the thirties.

I like Myles, I had him at Saints pick up until last night haha... But I thought Saints could use another key defender :P
He's good at nearly everything, but doesn't excel at much.

As for M2's little phantom, I don't mind that actually, could EASILY go that way. Cumming might not be AS early as Bowes, but if Freo don't get English, i'm with you, he'll go to the Doggies. As a Saints fan, Mutch or Bolton are my 2 picks for our first selection. And I assume that C.Cox is Brennan Cox the KPD.

If Freo don't snap up English do you guys think there's a chance WCE would take him with 14 if he's still available?

I haven't heard much at all about who we're looking at with 14

wouldnt think so, NN only gone for a year and English isnt ready to play.

in saying that 14 is too low for him so if he slips they might have to,

RaisyDaisy

Yeah not so much to cover NN next year, but we don't have any young raw rucks on the list so thought he would be a good long term prospect, and would most likely hit his straps once NN nears the end of his career

I see a lot of phantom drafts and predictions have us looking at landing Berry which from what I've read about him sounds decent

Just have to wait and see I guess
