Can see GC and GWS having big wins if the bids don't come.

1 - Ess - McGrath
2 - GWS - Ainsworth
3 - Bris - Luggage
4 - GC - Taranto
5 - GC - Bowes (Carl bid, GC move from 6th to 5th)

Surely Brissy bid on Bowes.

unless they have some sort of dodgey agreement, see no reason why they wouldnt want to bid, worse case they pick up a Queenslander who is more talented then ainsowrth (in my opinion) and likely case if they force GC to lose a top 5 pick.

The system can be soo corrupt, if brisbane dont pick im sure its part of some agreement from the hanley deal.
From what I have been seeing up here we will more than likely bid on Bowes.  It is in our interests as well as even if Suns do not bid we do have a Qlder as well.
Speculation with Ainsworth going at 2 not helping our cause especially when Ainsworth said he is happy to come to Brisbane.
If Bombers take Clugg, then GWS take McGrath, we bid on Bowes, and take Ainsworth.

If Bombers take McGrath, GWS will likely take Ainsworth and I reckon we'd just take Clugg and not bid on Bowes, just in case.

yeah you never know GC could do something crazy and give up on Bowes and go for Glugg (who should go pick 1)

Yeah pretty much.

So if GWS get docked picks for the Whitfield case it will be interesting to see if they pass on any potential academy selections. They will likely have to go into deficit.

AFL boss Gill McLachlan will announce all 1st round picks at next week's NAB @AFLDraft. League undecided on how the rest will be revealed.

Last years wasn't even that bad.... They're having a sook about nothing.

Agree PK - Last years was not that bad.

As I see it with pick 3  if Essendon take McGrath at 1 Brisbane will take McLuggage and if McLuggage gone Ainsworth.

_wato

#205
McLuggage will go 1 McGrath 2 Ainsworth 3.

No doubt about it.

Edit maybe not. Been reading some phantoms and anyone could go one.

Hearing Taranto/Ainsworth could go 2 should McGrath go one.

So Lug should could drop to 3. SPS 4 I would take too.

Ringo

Yep some of these phantom drafts confusing what seemed a straight forward Top 4.

1 - Ess - McGrath

3 - Bris - Luggage
4 - GC - Taranto
5 - GC - Bowes (Carl bid, GC move from 6th to 5th)
6 - Carl - SPS
7 - Freo - Florent
8 - GC - Brodie
9 (1469) - GWS - Perryman (SYD bid, GWS use 15 in the process)
10 (1395) - GWS - Setterfield (SYD bid, GWS use 39, 45 in the process)
11 - Syd - Logue
12 - GC - English
13 - NM - Scrimshaw
14 - GWS - Macreadie (ADE bid - GWS use junk picks)
15 - ADE - Simpkin
16 - PA - Marshall
17 - Bris - Scheer
18 - PA - Sproule (GWS can't match unless they go into deficit next year)
19 - WB - Venables

20 - SYD - Bolton

21 - Ess - Berry
22 - Bris - Hayward
23 - Bris - Powell-Pepper
24 - STK - Mutch (GWS don't match)
25 - Geel - Rotham
26 - Carl - Battle
27 - WB - Maibaum
28 - Rich - Scharenberg
29 - Coll - Daicos
30 - Ess - Clarke
31 - PA - Drew
32 - PA - Witherden
33 - NM - Gallucci

Total guesswork from this point onwards. Spuds like Graham and Kerr will get picked up. Would like to see Keitel get picked up, liked him in his draft year and is worthy. Ben Long too.

Would not be happy with Scharenberg, poor tank, poor kick & slow. My smokey is Brandan Parfitt, grossly underestimated, just ran a 14.6 beep in a last minute testing session.

Yes Schaz has his downsides, but he's great at playing inside - may lack athleticism and kicking ability but can extract it and lay some tackles and I'd love to grab him at 29 which seems about what he should be taken at. Lucky for you I reckon the Tiges will grab somebody like Cedric Cox.

Parfitt is another guy who I could definitely see going around that late 20s-early 30s range, can definitely accumulate touches with both work rate and agility - reminds me of Jack Steven.

Yeah nearly the only pick that has never moved for me is Cedric Cox to the Tiges... If they pick a slow as flower inside midfielder with this pick... I'll highly suggest that Richmond just tank until they are smart enough to recruit to position.. They have too many of that type. Cox provides outside run that they desperately need as I don't think that Rioli will be the answer.

I rate Parfitt too, just don't know where he sits, could go anywhere from 30-Rookie, which is a HUGE gap.
