Some food for thought

Starting Price - 627k
105 matches, 93 of them above 100 SC points
Only 1 match has he scored under 80 and that was in 2012 when tagged by Carrazzo
Saying that though he has NEVER finished a season at over 600k (Surprised me)

While the Collingwood draw appears soft to start the opponents dont match up well for Pendles in the first 4 weeks. Average in brackets.
Syd (102.07), Rich (99), Stk (106.77), Mel (100.50)
It does get much easier for him after that with a run of teams he historically scores very well against averaging in excess of 110.

In rounds 22 and 23 last year, he played a significant half back, midfield role. Scores of 155 & 85 dont really give any indication on how this would impact his scoring if it is ndeed the case in the new season

Have started Pendles every year I've played this game and he's never let me down but this year with so many bargains in the midfield I just can't find a spot for him at the moment. Him and Fyfe will be my first 2 upgrade targets even if I have to pay more than they start off as

shaker

Have him in instead of Gaz at this stage just feel more secure with Pendles after Gaz's last year troubles

ronl

Brave move, shaker.  I wouldn't be able to live with myself if Gaz is fit and firing but he's not in my team.

Haha ronl yeah I know but that is what trades are for  :P

agreed guy just doesnt miss games and you never have a stinker. besides those 4 missed he only missed 1 game in the other 5 years.

Going to be tough to fit him in and will need to go cheap on other lines but

Ablett Pendles Rocky Sloane Libba Crouch Myers if i can afford it is going to happen.

This.
Surprised myself when looking back on the season and seeing pendles score the second most points.
In a down year as well. Let's not get too clever. Just lock the man in

jfitty

I'm locking this guy in absolutely.

His average dropped 8 points last year and was still the second overall scorer in the comp. I think the Pies had a hard run in 2015 with some injuries and Beams leaving, but with the arrival of Treloar, a fit Greenwood and another preseason in the legs of Adams and Crisp he has the support to get his average back up to 120+

There's a lot of midfield bargains, but there is just no risk at all with Pendlebury, you know what you're going to get!

Pendles, GAJ, Rocky have never left my side

GoLions

Could be the first year I don't start the great man. Gaz, Rocky, Libba all aren't leaving my side. Will most likely start Crouch. Then also want 2-3 of Beams, Sloane, Myers, Pendles. Doubt I'll get 3 of those guys though, and have Beams and Myers atm. Who knows, might upgrade him to Pendles eventually :P

Locked in Dependlebury  :)

Support you say? The way i look at it, is there is more blokes up and firing to take his points!
