Partly agree Shaker but we must remember there is more cricket played now. In saying that however injury was the only reason for resting. Do not want to sound negative but is fitness an issue,, as these days we seem to see bowlers struggle if the have to bowl more than 15/20 overs in an innings.

Yes Ringo because they are always resting ha ha , they get a huge amount money for playing for Australia maybe its time to say no to IPL type leagues if you are a contracted player , really everyone loves T-20 cricket and it is only getting more popular look at the West Indies now all there good players travel around to these leagues and don't play for there country , I can see this happening to other countries in the future ?

Why not just rest him for the rest of January???? That does not make sense to me at all. Inept selectors at it again...

They are resting him for the rest of January so that he's fine for the NZ tour.

Agree JB Seems like 300 is the old 250 these days. So much in favour of batsmen in these limited over matches. How about something for the bowlers.
Ridiculous imo the restriction of 4 players out from overs 10 - 40 further helping batsmen as the bats get bigger.
