Confirms what has been said earlier That he drops during season and then comes home strong. In my opinion great upgrade target.

I think many will target him around the byes for that reason. I must say though, bottoming out in rounds 16, 22 and 19 in 2015, 2012 and 2011 respectively doesn't exactly reflect his perceived strong ends of seasons.
If people haven't fully upgraded by the byes i reckon they'll be well behind
Especially with the byes being much later this year!

Also you totally should've said "If people haven't fully upgraded by the byes i reckon it'll be bye-bye to their 2016 SC season"
haha totally

Just some food for thought...

Selwood starts this season priced at 565,500. I looked back through his 2010-2015 seasons to see that his bottom price in all of these years was below this 2016 starting price, by an average of 60,400.

2015    479,200    round 16    -86,300
2014    549,500    round 10    -16,000
2013    491,300    round 11    -74,200
2012    539,000    round 22    -26,500
2011    453,000    round 19    -112,500
2010    518,800    round 7      -46,700
But surely he hasn't started this cheap in a while?

Holz

This him starting slowly thing or danger will steal his points are not valid in my opinion.

He has plantar fascia that is why he is not in my team, I dont want to have guys who have issues running in the preseason. Not when for really not much more I can get Pendles who is looking ready to go.

Ablett Rocky Libba Crouch locked in.

Sloane - is cheap and injury free
Pendles - is a star and cheap and injury free
Jelwood - is cheap and carrying a foot injury

the annoying thing is selwood will probably start slow because of the injury and people will say oooh its the selwood starting slow thing.

Cheers mate

I'll wait for a post xmas update before taking him out of my side. Doesn't sound like a serious case of it so should be fine if he's rested it up

if it was a shoulder or something upper body I would be fine. But stuff with the legs in particualr foot a worry as it affects your fitness base for running.

I cant pick him carrying a foot injury when I see pendles available for only 62k more.

Yeh that kind of injury isn't too bad at this time of year though and he won't lose much fitness at all. If it was the middle of the year then its a major issue because any exercise even walking keeps the foot angry and it won't settle down.

A lot of senior players do flower all training pre xmas anyway

Is plantar fascia a serious injury?

It's painful but if it gets bad you can deliberately snap it and it heals quickly

its not usually serious, usually just rest. I just dont like foot injuries, even minor ones worry me about players. Its common amonngst athletes and not a major issue. Still a good pick just means im going Pendles over him now.

Robert Harvey jumped off his kitchen bench about a dozen times to get the tendon to snap, and he said the pain went immediately after it snapped. Crazy.
