You guys are all kind of pointing out the obvious, everybody knows about Selwood's preseason & no one is doubting his abilities but was it a better idea to make him an upgrade target so that he might get a few games under his belt (while scoring 105's) and start someone like Robbie Gray with Port's easy draw in the first half of the year, yes, yes it was.

But by God i am loving the look of our Midfield this year and Scooter to come in later  ;)
Really liked Zac Smiths efforts outside of the ruck also.

first up selwood is 30k cheaper.

Gray outscored him week 1 against Stkilda.

Selwood was playing the 3 time champs.

Geelong have GWS Brissy Essendon coming up. I expect some good scores and selwood could easily beat gray over the next 3 weeks.

That does seem like a pretty easy run i'll grant you that, will help his chances of going big.

This is why I'm avoiding Midfield upgrades at the minute. This guy, Gray, Zaha, Rocky could all finish the midfield. Meanwhile Simmo & Shaw are standouts down back and Dahl & Zorks are the only ones up forward.
