starting forward premos

Pfft soon enough you'll be rolling with 1 premo.  So many cheap options this year and not as many good ones in other positions.

Can honestly say that Dusty and Barlow are the only two forwards that I am 100% comfortable starting

Really looking at Wells at D3 followed by other 150-230k rookies with Kerridge and Grimley

Anyone else going this way?

Dusty, Barlow, Wells, Simpkin, Menadue, Kerridge for me atm. Dropped Buddy for Menadue today.

the trouble i have with only starting 2 premos is do you really want to have to worry about enough of your rookies getting named each week

Thinking the same, but currently have Stringer at F3. My mids are deep with Parker M5, Libba M6 and M.Crouch M7, but my defense is weak with Sheridan at D3.

Identical to my side apart from Simpkin - I have opted for Ben Kennedy based on preseason form. My information from the Essendon practice match was Simpkin looked very pedestrian, nothing to suggest he had 100% job security. Kennedy seems to have relished his new inside role at the Dees, he was given few opportunities at Coliingwood and he's just not polished enough for the small forward role. Milera is the other who should come under definite consideration.

Yeah have my eye on Milera, think he'll be a decent scorer if he gets enough opportunity. Always been a fan of Bennedy too, will be tough to pick the best one if all named round 1!

Was at the game, I wouldn't say that at all. He looked clean, very clean. There was one bit of play he just picked the ball up at ground level with a couple players around him, burst out and delivered to a team mate. I think Grimley dropped the next mark which would have resulted in a goal. While it didn't transition to a decent 'score' I think he played well when I saw him.

It's a risk, but guys like Wells, Simpkin, Bennedy etc should play every week unless injured so we should be able to get away with it

Fair enough, difference of opinion I guess, can't expect the world from a delisted player anyway. I'm still plumping for Kennedy at this stage, the cheaper price probably gives him the edge and his new inside role might see him winning a greater percentage of contested ball.

not if you have very strong lines elsewhere. starting 4 guys out of 6 is tough though so be warned that this can backfire very quick.

I'm in the same boat Holz as I have DeGoey at F3. Had Buddy but was able to get in Danger for Parker
