Aussie squad got the 'Mitch' formula right, with Johnson/Starc/Marsh

I think you've gone one too many

You've got me here, could you clear this one up for me?  ???
Just wondering who your POD is

If you add up each player's value + spare change you can find out exactly who he is  ;)
That's why I assumed it was another Mitch :P

I've caught up, well played  ;D

Was bored so I decided to do this, I like it!

I was very impressed by him, though might succumb to pressure and select Wines instead.

Just curious to know why people are scrambling to get Simpkin? He has a highest average of 68 and has never played a full season. Granted Essendon are desperate but surely someone like Wells is better value?
Averaged like 88 in 2014 unsubbed
And I think 87 in 2013 unsubbed

You sure about those stats? From what I can see he has only gone over 90 three times in his career. In any case I'll reserve judgement until after the NAB Cup, it would take a lot to sway me away from Wells however.
Ah mb, didn't see that FF has it as H&A games, and he played in 2 finals in 2014. So was like 75 unsubbed. Still went 87 in 2013 though.

Few more changes, feeling pretty happy with this until NAB challenge matches now.

Mystery POD Mitch Duncan is out  ::)

Team Name: PumpedUpCripps

Def: Simpson, J. Bartel, B. Smith, R. Harwood, M. Adams, M. Brown (Ess) (R. Bonner, M. Hibberd)

Mid: G. Ablett, J. Kennedy, R. Sloane, T. Rockliff, Wines, T. Liberatore, B. Crouch, Wells (J. Long, B. Keays, Marcon)

Ruck: T. Goldstein, S. Martin (M. King)

Fwd: D. Martin, L. Dahlhaus, Barlow, J. Simpkin, S. Kerridge, C. Petracca (H. Balic, Tipungwuti)

Dollars: $1,800

OUT Shaw, Duncan, Trengove, Tippett, Buzza, Cunningham

Shaw to Simpson frees up a good amount of cash, allowing me to upgrade Tippett to Barlow, who should go back to his normal role.
Duncan has also been upgraded to Wines, who I believe is significantly underpriced, and Daniel Wells comes in instead of Trengove.
Marcon and Tipungwuti also free up some spare dollars in place of Cunningham and Buzza

Thoughts?

Really like the team. Same set up as me except for one thing. This: I have one more prem (Zerrett instead of Simpkin) and I was wondering if you think it is worth downgrading him to a Simpkin and then upgrading my cheaper rookies. Anyway, I love this team (obviously, as it is very similar to mine) and I was just using your opinion for my team as well! All the best mate.

Thanks mate!
Regarding Simpkin, to be completely honest at this stage, I'm not too sure.
I certainly intend to keep at least one of he and Wells to start with, possibly both, but if either underwhelm me in NAB i'll probably put some cash into my pretty cheap rookies.

Another option I am looking at is downgrading Harwood possibly to Francis, which would allow me to spend a little more money on other rookies.

This piece of advice from last year's winner is haunting me:

"Brett Goodesâ€" Although it turned out to be a poor decision, Goodes was chosen because of his value at roughly $250,000 and the potential for him to replicate his first AFL season. Won’t be happening again, better off with another rookie."

Could Ryan Harwood fit this same dud role?

Indeed, I guess we will find out, hard to call at the moment though.

For the time being, I've dumped Harwood for a 117k rookie, which allows me to upgrade Wines to Pendles, and put a little bit more cash into my rookies.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. Otherwise super team. Similar to mine in structure although mines even weaker in defence but with Greene as my F4.

Goldstein is just so pricey I've gone with Martin and Mummy and saved over 120 K. It really helped!

I don't see any of the guys in group B as being better than their counterparts in group A haha

I'd take Simmo over McVeigh to start with due to each one's pre-season thus far
Smiddy over Hartung
Gaz over Wines
Crouch over Hunter (if ready round 1)
Wells over Hartung (and now I see you've probably left out a defence premo :P)
Goldy over NicNat
Dahl maybe just over Robbo, pretty even though here

Oops, that first Hartung that matches Brodie is meant to be Duryea, don't think that will sway your opinion much though.

It doesn't :P

Mainly due to the Gaz and Goldy picks tbh

Think Group B is the heart selection and A is the head.
The one bloke I would love to get in there, is Hunter.
Depending on the fitness of Crouch, it may be possible, but I'm not sure where the spare $120k will come from.
