Not much talk about Jobe

Ad his cheap price we know he can score. Why isn't he as popular as what he has been in years gone by.

I know he is a little older but still oozes quality.

Am I missing something ?

Because so many other players who can score well are at amazing value as well. There's no way you'd pick him over an Ablett, Rocky, Sloane, Libba. And even guys like Jelwood, Pendles, and Beams are slightly underpriced. Add to that the whole Essendon saga crap, along with his injuries over the last few years, he just doesn't seem like the best pick (to start with at least). Could be an alright upgrade target as an M8 if he gets really cheap, but even then you'd question whether he'd be able to get back to his best or not.

Libba, Crouch, Swallow and Jaeger are all cheaper and could score about the same.
Rocky for 50k more could avg 130.
Then you have to look at Ablett seriously as well.
Jelwood and Sloane are arguably under priced as well.

It's not that he isn't a good option it's just there are better options.

I don't think he would be the worse pick but there is so much value in the mids this year it would be hard to include him over guys like Rocky, Sloane, Selwood, Swallow, Libba and Crouch

Yeah I have I have Ablett ward rocky Jobe Libba crouch currently

I might have swallow in jobes place if I see some proof preseason but I am just not convinced by him at this stage.

Surely he will play as a mid and average around the 100 mark? He is underpriced but also not a super premo and therefore probably not a keeper

Too much baggage at the moment - better players with more upside.,  As has been said if he starts pushing out the big numbers then he goes on top the upgrade target list. Personally can not see him the Top 15 mids for the year.

at the moment i seem to be flicking between jobe gibbs and swallow for that mid spot .... or i find the cash to go up to parker

just feel like jobe is the more likely to be a keeper and if it doesnt work out the easier to upgrade

Id agree with that. Jobe is proba the better option.. im also sussing out Wines with his easier draw as well

If all this WADA stuff finishes up and they are all free to play Jobe is a bargain still think he has a couple of good years left in him but just waiting on the WADA case

I'm a massive Jobe fan, and the man himself has said his time away has freshened him up and his pumped to go, but there are so many value options it's just hard to find a spot for him
