anyone else thought of doing this for D6/7?

Goosey

Don't think I will be able to afford 243K for D6!

Gigantor

Tossing up between Emac and Harwood myself but maybe at D4 or 5.

It all depends on the defense rookie situation come rd1, if its a disaster my defense could be Bartel, Smith, Hurn, Harwood, Emac, WhiteX, (Brown,Brown)

Though I'm not convinced Brown(WC) is a walk up start each week but I'll still pick him if desperate

I may be able to squeeze EMac in at D5 if he warrants selection.

I don't see how we pick brown in the eagles team. I don't necessarily buy into McGovern sweeping up the ground consistently leaving us short a tall at the back.

Emac McGovern Hurn sheppard Wellingham are walk ups down back with maybe a Schofield (who can play on more versatile opponents or could provide some run off half back that brown couldn't) ... Otherwise the half back role could potentially be a Yeo or Jetta.

Just can't see a place for brown but he is a placeholder in our sides for now

If Emack misses a game Brown will certainly come in. If he's not best 22 already which I think he is

I am not missing the theory ... Completely get what u saying

Maybe I sort of dismissed it because that option I don't see as relevant whatsoever

Was more trying to outline there will be a severe lack of consistency for starts for brown (unfortunately for us)

Won't be picking either.

I think Mackenzie will average around 70 so he will only make around 135k which isn't enough. A rookie priced player could average around the same and make 120k more.

I guess if you're planning on going light down back then you may need Mackenzie there due to the lack of any other decent options. I don't think there will be many cheap rookie priced players with decent scoring ability available.

Brown is unlikely to get a game for the Eagles and even if he does he will average around the 40 mark which he has for his entire career.

Grufflez

Ewwww Emack, next idea please .....

Yeah it's more a case of whether there are other options available or not. Emac is obviously best 22, so if there aren't at least 4 decent rookie options available, all of a sudden he's becoming close to a must have. But if other guys pop up, then it makes the decision a bit more difficult.

Yeah it depends on how many rookie priced players you're planning on having in defence. I have Brodie Smith at D5 so just need three decent rookie priced players to be available and even that might be a stretch!

Again, same as you Ben with Smith at D5 and only 3 rookies

Last year I started 5 rookies down back which I know most didn't do and it worked a treat for me, but I'm thinking I might go back to my 2014 setup with 5 solid starters because I don't see much on offer down back in terms of cheap options, and guys like Emac and harwood don't interest me

this time last year we were worried and defense rookies also but it was fine
