Sounds crazy, but is Brodie Smith worth bringing in?

Last 2 weeks have been good and is so cheap at only 360k or so. I know it's super risky, but he wouldn't be the worst D6 would he?

PiPies

I'm considering downgrading Lonergan to Smith. Doch looks out of reach now but the $ saved on Smith may mean I can grab Doch if he has a poor game.

Averaging 74 last 5 rounds. Nope.

I have Adams and will look to finish with a D6 better than him. Aim higher.

Why aim for a turkey v carp if you really want an Eagle v Shark?

Remove the score of 19 and he is averaging 88 for the year.  He is likely to throw another shocker in before the end of the year I'm sure, but will also likely to increase in value.  Maybe stepping stone/cover?

I understand the thought process here but at this stage of the year I try and grab definite keepers rather than gamble on 'mid pricers' who are usually cheap for a reason.

Also, I always run out of trades so don't want to grab a possible stepping stone at this stage.

As D6 I think he'd be a great option.
McVeigh for 80k more though is worth the coin if you've got it. If McVeigh wasn't available I'd be looking at Smith for sure.

The reason I am looking at Smith is because I have been destroyed with injuries this year and will be cutting it fine with trades

Of course I want Docherty and Boyd, but don't think I will be able to afford them for some time

When Mitch Brown is 300k, Smith for an extra 60k does seem appealing

I doubt I will actually do it, but worth discussing

Can see where you're coming from but McVeigh is the one I'd be eyeing off. He's more expensive at 442k but has many more runs on the board and should be involved in more victories from this point on.

Wouldn't have even thought of him until you brought him up, got me thinking now....Would make a handy D7/M10, although DBJ is doing an alright job at D7 at the moment

Bones Bombers

Who should I bring in this week, Gibson or Bartel?

I have Gibson in at the moment but now looking at Jimmy's recent scores he might be the better pick.

Backline is Shaw, Simpson, Docherty, Boyd, ?, AMT/Adams (Brown, Brand)

Sounds like a bad plan.

I have both, and happy with them. Gibbo can have stinkers though, so for league wins I'd say Bartel is a safer pick

Bartel or Laird?

Is Laird still alive?

I wouldn't go with the dead guy....
