Problem is I just can't bring myself to spend 550k on Docherty or Boyd

I guess Laird at 490k is reasonable, but I think id rather complete all other lines first

I don't think you should still be fielding someone like Brown tbh, I'd upgrade defence this week.

I am in a similar position RD, after ditching Houli last week Docherty/Laird are my only premo backs (held adams)
All the defenders worth their salt are still 500-550k and it's bloody hard to pay that much after buying Priddis for 500k and Gray in 2 weeks for the same!
Think we need to bite the bullet and just do it, McVeigh and Williams the best cheaper options at the moment.
I am looking at McVeigh & Rance but McVeigh not breaking a ton yet is concerning me!

I would lean to upgrading the backline as Brown/DBJ/Byrne have been roller coasters

Laird is the only option I would consider as his price is reasonable

Currently have Shaw, Simmo and Bartel. Would love to have Docherty, Laird and one of Boyd or Rance to complete the lines but with Dochers and Boyd being too much I've missed the boat for now

DBJ to Laird makes the most sense, but geez it's hard to pass on Priddis at 500k.

Bennedy down to Hopper and DBJ to Laird makes sense, but that puts Hopper at M8. That's fine for now, but I lose DPP with that trade and it would take a long time before I could bring in a prem M8 which is my big concern

Really thinking if I am going to lose DPP then I want M8 to be a prem so something like Papley to F8 scrubber (Redman or Paine) and Bennedy to Priddis this week, then Smith to Matho and DBJ to Laird next week?

Exact same predicament as me RD. Hard to pass on Priddis at his price as he seems to be back to form with a couple of 100+ scores.

Yep, i am only giving up that DPP for Gray who will complete my mids, even then i am not happy about it.

Be careful taking a rubbish rookie out of desperation RD, if you have most of the good playing/price gaining rookies i guess its not
so bad if you need the downgrade for cash up to a premo.

Yeah I don't want to take rubbish rookies, but Papley at F8 with Petracca at F7 so I feel like I could put a plonker at F8 if I really need to
