I fell into the Jasper Pittard trap a couple years ago.  Swore never again.  He has a bad habit of suddently disappearing into the never never ie never again.

Quite inconsistent in the middle of the year, though it could be blamed on the Power switching off.
Just seems possible that the same thing is happening again, good start that might fade away.

As long as the so called rookies from D4 to D8 keep scoring well and holding their value I am pretty happy to upgrade elsewhere.

Shaw, Adams, Simpson and Docherty the premo defenders I am considering bringing in to finish my defense.

Does Dochertys Value increase now Weits is out and the Blues are firing? (3 in a row I mean) He is only $487 and averaging 100, solid, durable, runs off the backline more this year and everyone underestimates Carlton so will have free range? Thoughts?

Weits will be back in 2 weeks, I think Doc will still average well, I just prefer to have Simmo in my team for SC which is why I grabbed him a couple weeks back. Doc can shank the ball but where he is making up points is pressure acts. He is elite in the comp in this area and it is making up for the clangers.

What do you guys think of Dempsy as a long term D6. I think he's taking the game on more seriously this year and he's flown under a few radars due to his late start to the season. Obviously I've missed his first price rise but I'm not primary chasing cash but a solid average.

Nar, i'm done with mid-pricers so not for me - This deep into the SC rounds it's a real gamble.

Birchall, thought's with this guy?  His avg is 85 priced the lowest we will possibly see him @ $425K, his scores have been - 92, 86, 75, 102, 55 (Ugly), 90 & 93 - The scores haven't been that bad, if you take out the 55 it's a 90 avg.

You can't take out the 55, my concern is there is no 120+ score to offset the low score.

Docherty vs Gibson for my upgrade in defence this week. Am a blues fan so my love for docherty may be biased but he looked the goods. Which one can maintain something close to the 100 average they are sporting now? Thoughts wise coaches?

Two weeks ago needed to choose between Docherty and Simpson.  Took Simpson, probably a tad more consistent but, really, not much separating the two, can't go wrong either way.

I'd go Docherty, been more consistent with scores - Gibsons average is inflated by the 191 he scored.
